"I'd appreciate it if you stayed online for the next few days," the Captain leaned back on his desk before placing his hands at the back of his head. "The ship's systems are still shot from the explosion in engineering and it could happen again at any point. I wanna make sure you're there when it happens." He pointed at the hologram. She wasn't designed to be active for lengthy periods.
"Ay Captain." She nodded. She wasn't about to disobey the captain - even if it meant being active for longer. Besides, it would give her a chance to explore the ship as well as her own personality...
Exiting Captain Clarke's ready room she began moving down the various twisty corridors of the ship. She noted various crewmembers as the past. This seemed to shock a few as they had no idea who she was. "Crewman Kestra Daniel, Crewman Jeremy Forbes, Crewman Rexham Leonard." The last giving her a perculiar look before asking
"Yes?". Her eyes blew up as if she hadn't realized she'd been saying their names out loud. "Excuse me!" She jumped swiftly to the next holoprojector.
She turned the next corner and the corridor filled - with life - was suddenly empty. She stopped her steps and looked down the long cuboid. Turning her head she looked back down the corridor she had just come from. It was empty as well. Shaking it off she carried on her way.
It was then she spotted another figure walking towards her. She looked into his face and noted him. "Crewman..." she stopped. "Crewman..." She gripped the man by his arm and stopped him in his tracks. She began to lose her grip before her hand was released through him. Though she had not let go. It was as if her avatar had shifted through him though she had not done so purposely. Back tracking to follow him down the corridor she threw herself in front of him before commanding.
"Identify yourself." The man seemed unphased and passed right through her. This caught her off guard a little. It took a little time to recover before she turned to look at him. He was gone. She couldn't believe her eyes. Her program wasn't malfunctioning. It was in perfect condition actually. Mr. Blake had repaired her to complete health.
"You know. I'm glad I switched." Spining back around there she saw the man stood with him arms folded and a full medical uniform. "Identify yourself"
The man let a sweat a moment. "Who me? he began walking down the corridor away from her with his head at an angle so she could hear his words. She was close to follow. "I'm suprised you don't know."
"Your name!" flustered she marched behind him. "Where would the fun be in that?"

Katy weaved through the buildings, careful not to let her pack slip. Shots riddled the ground at her feet. When a brief break came, she fired back haphazardly. Her ponytail started slipping, and her boots squeaked as she rounded a corner at full-tilt.
Where's a patch of goddamned clear sky when you need one? she thought madly. The pollution had been getting worse ever since R4 had taken over-- the sky was coated in a layer of smog almost year-round. A blast hit her in the shoulder, and she yelled, losing her footing. As she rolled onto her back, she saw a sliver of blue above her.
And Bingo was his name-o, she sung triumphantly in her head as she slapped the square strapped to her wrist. Before the officers could catch up, she had disappeared in a flash of gold light.
She ended up on the Venia, in a hallway somewhere. It was always a hallway somewhere. There were some feet beside her shoulder, which was bleeding profusely through her all-black stealth suit. She grabbed it, grimacing, and looked up. There was a man with dark hair and a lab coat, with a hologram standing behind him. T.E.M.P!
"Oh, good," she grinned weakly. "Meds. Perfect. You guys wouldn't happen to have any bandages, would you? My hand's getting kinda wet."

It was then that the hologram heard the running behind her. Turning she watched as one of the ship's Liasion's came bolting toward her firing behind her. However, there was no weapon in the woman's hand. She was making a gun shape with her fingers and there was no one following her to be shot at. Before she had a chance to question what was going on the woman spoke.
"Oh, good, Meds. Perfect. You guys wouldn't happen to have any bandages, would you? My hand's getting kinda wet."
"Your hands?" the medic looked at her hands. They were perfectly dry. "Why would you need any bandages." She looked behind her to get acknowledgment from the other man on the strangeness of the situation but he was gone. "Sir?" She looked around before returning her gaze back on Katherine.
"Ms. Tyler, are you feeling well?" the T.E.M.P placed her hand on the woman's wrist to feel her pulse. Her medical scans picked up nothing wrong with her. "I..." she stopped as she heard a great rumble. "What is that?" She looked around her before she spotted what it was. Her eyes blew up in fear as she watched what seemed like a tidal wave gushing down the corridor toward her. She froze. She couldn't move.
A scream hit the air but it hadn't come from her. Though it sounded like her voice. As the wave crashed into her she threw her hands to her face.
She panted heavily. It took her a while to gather herself before she removed her hands from her eyes. The wave had gone and instead she saw the man from before standing beside Katherine.
"Towel?" he held back a snicker as he held out a peach-coloured towel. She was bone dry.

Katy looked around confusedly. "Well, yeah, I'm fine, except for the part where I got..." She trailed off. Her shoulder was fine. There was no pack slung across her shoulders, and she was wearing loafers and jeans, not a stealth suit. "Um... Maybe not," she corrected. "Unless vivid hallucinations seem to be normal right about now."
T.E.M.P hadn't responded. Katy looked up. She seemed to be cowering at the sight of... something. She held up her hands in front of her face, then after a moment, removed them. She seemed a little surprised. Was she experiencing hallucinations too? Could a hologram do that? Meanwhile, the guy with a mustache had come back, holding out a towel to T.E.M.P quite smugly.
"Hello!" she waved up to him from her spot on the floor. "I'm Katy Tyler, do you have any idea what's going on here? I don't." If he was holding a towel to T.E.M.P, maybe her hallucination had involved a pool or something. And if he knew what she was hallucinating about, he probably knew what the heck was going on. She waited for a response, crossing her legs comfortably.

"Unless vivid hallucinations seem to be normal right about now."
Hallucinations? Could this possible? She was not organic. It made no sense. She raised her eyebrows as the towel was thrusted in her direction. She refused to take it. This man was responsible for whatever was going on. She was sure of it.
"For the last time, I demand you identify yourself," she wasn't about to stop questioning him even if it was merely a figment of her... cybernetic imagination? The man merely ignored her and insisted she take the towel. She held the peach-coloured towel in her hands before looking back at him. "I am perfectly dry... I do not get wet! I am a hologram. Explain yourself."
"Hello! I'm Katy Tyler, do you have any idea what's going on here? I don't."
Wait. She could see him too? The man took notice of the woman and gave her a friendly smile and shook her hand. "Hello Katy," he grinned happily. "I am Gaspard Thrace, MD. And no I have no idea."
T.E.M.P frowned. "So you answer her when she asks you?"
"She didn't ask. Besides," the man approached her and flicked her nose. "You didn't introduce yourself either."
T.E.M.P recoiled as he flicked her nose. "But... you couldn't..." she scowled. "Fine, I am T.E.M.P or Technological Emergency Medical Program. Yes I know." He folded his arms and nodded.

T.E.M.P continued to scowl at the mustache man irritably. From the looks of it, she'd been asking after his name for a while now. She snatched up the towel, insisting that, as a hologram, she didn't get wet, and that he explain himself, now. Katy couldn't help but snicker. Oh, poor T.E.M.P...
The man held out his hand, introducing himself as Gaspard Thrace. Oh dear-- a nickname for that would be difficult. "Good to meet you," she said simply. He nodded, and promptly ignored her as T.E.M.P complained. Katy couldn't blame her-- he seemed to be quite obstinate.
Katy raised her eyebrows as Thracy, as she would now call him, finished T.E.M.P's introduction. Not many people knew that much about T.E.M.P-- she was state of the art, top of the game. Right with the times, in fact, including her hair. Nice cut.
Katy coughed softly. "Sorry to interrupt, but can we cut the turkey here? Just the basics-- who you are, what just happened, where we are, and can I laugh at your goatee? It's just so great!" She backtracked. This probably wasn't the best situation to laugh at someone she was relying on for information. "Of course, the laughing can be skipped. Unless we really, really want to. T.E.M.P?" She turned to the hologram. Katy didn't know whether she was the laughing type or not.

"Good to meet you,"
The now named Gaspard continued to smile happily. He seemed to be enjoying the situation. He only seemed to be annoyed when T.E.M.P would cut across his conversation with Katy. They knew each other extremely well. They were actually quite close. She just didn't know it yet. Well, she hadn't experienced it yet...
"Sorry to interrupt, but can we cut the turkey here? Just the basics-- who you are, what just happened, where we are, and can I laugh at your goatee? It's just so great!"
"Alright, you already know who I am, I've told you I have no idea what just happened, your on the Venia as far as I know and of course you can, lovely." He turned and held the woman by the shoulders before giving her a flirtatious wink. "You can even touch it if you like."
"That's enough!" T.E.M.P, nearly on the verge of screaming, pulled him away from Katherine's arms. She seemed very frustrated. "You still haven't explained where you came from! You clearly know what's going on." Katy then cut across her which Gaspard was actually rather glad that she did.
"Of course, the laughing can be skipped. Unless we really, really want to. T.E.M.P?"
She was in no mood for laughing. Gaspard however raised his hand. "May I laugh?" "No you may not!"

Katy raised an eyebrow as Thracy sent her a flirtatious wink. "My, aren't we forward," she scoffed, making a face. Eh, he was good-looking enough, sure. He seemed a little cocky, though-- she wasn't too fond of arrogant men. If he modested up a bit- if 'modested' was a word- then she might consider it. Seeing T.E.M.P's reaction, however, she decided to keep her distance.
Katy stepped back as T.E.M.P wrenched Thracy around and proceeded to yell at him. Looking around, she spotted a computer terminal, and quickly booted it up. She narrowed her eyes, and rebooted it. The date was a little off-- years, in fact. The terminal went dark, then lit up again. Same date.
She coughed discreetly. "Sorry to interrupt," she butted in, "But are you guys doing a computer check or something? Only, the date's off a few years..."

"My, aren't we forward,"
Gaspard looked back at her with difficult as his attention was still taken by T.E.M.P.
"You know laughing's good for you." the man slapped both of T.E.M.P's cheeks gently causing her to recoil back once more. My he was rather forward. T.E.M.P shook her head in defiance. Did he know no boundaries?
"What do you think you are doing?" she stepped back to get away from his hands. "For a doctor you have no bedside manner! I wonder how you treat your patients."
"Sorry to interrupt,"
They both turned at the cough.
"But are you guys doing a computer check or something? Only, the date's off a few years..."
T.E.M.P looked to the corner of her eyes as if checking the computer system. "No computer checks are being performed at this current time. However with the recent damage to the ship it isn't wrong to assume the time and date has been altered."
"Would you stop finishing my sentences?!" T.E.M.P scolded the man. "Where's the fun in that? Oh, and to answer your question - the reason why the date is incorrect is because the ship's in temporal flux."
"What? So you do know what's going on. Are you behind this? Computer, intruder alert." The expected klaxon wasn't heard as the man simply raised a hand into the air. "Calm down. I know as much as you do... Well, I could guess. I have twice the processes running through my mind as you do. But I'll leave the job of working out the situation to you and Katy here."

Katy had to chuckle as Thracy and T.E.M.P continued their charades. He seemed to be ticking T.E.M.P right off. If Katy knew one thing about her programming, it was that she was stubborn to a T. That man was not going anywhere.
She barely managed to hide a chuckle as Thracy started finishing T.E.M.P's sentences again. Oh, dear, he was in for a beating. Well, as much of a beating as a hologram could deliver. Though she was fairly sure T.E.M.P could find a way. Her giggles distracted her from most of what they were saying, but one thing stuck-- "I have twice the processes running through my head". Processors? That was a computer term, people didn't have processors in their heads-- oh, wait. Yes they could.
She waved her hand in front of the nearest projector. Both T.E.M.P and Thracy phased in and out. Katy grinned. "Oh, yes! You're a hologram! That makes sense." It did explain how he knew so much, and how he could finish T.E.M.P's sentences so easily. "So, buster, you going to help us, or not?" She crossed her arms. Playing with the projector was probably just going to annoy T.E.M.P even more.

"Calm down. I know as much as you do... Well, I could guess. I have twice the processes running through my mind as you do. But I'll leave the job of working out the situation to you and Katy here."
"That is highly improbable. I am a hologram. My mind is a very complex computer." She narrowed her eyes at the man.
"Oh, yes! You're a hologram! That makes sense."
"Of course I'm a hologram!" she snapped at the woman. She didn't mean to be hard on Katherine. She was just extremely angry because of this man. She raised an eyebrow as she realized that Katherine wasn't looking at her. In fact, she was looking at this Gaspard man. She looked at the man and shook her head.
"He's not a hologram. There's only one hologram installed on the Venia, and that is me. The T.E.M.P hologram."
"Oh come now, all those processes in your head..." he prodded her on the forehead causing her to step back once more to avoid him. "... and you can't work this one out?"
"No," She looked from Katherine back to the man. "The date, the... This can't be right. You're me?"
"Technically not. You were never me but I was you. And the weird things is, is I recall being you. I remember seeing me through...." he pointed to her face. "... MY eyes. I know of what happened here up to this point. It's like I'm gaining knowledge as I go. I even know of seeing me say this." He gasped and turned to Katherine. He moved swiftly over to her and studied her forehead - his eyes darting all over the place. "This must be what 'remembering' is like. Though... I never forgot this. I just didn't have the knowledge but now I do." He then pointed back at T.E.M.P. "And before you say it, I know that makes no sense."
T.E.M.P tilted her head to the side and frowned. She was just about to say that.
"So, buster, you going to help us, or not?"
"Now that I can't do. I know as much as you do. I simply remember things as they occur. With every word things change for me. I'm in complete flux. Don't do anything stupid. I still want to exist." He spoke rather saddened. "But no matter, let's go from the beginning. All I remember was that I was treating Captain Johnston's wound when... Oh wait, that hasn't happened yet. It's still Captain Clarke isn't it."
"OK, I understand you and the date, the flux etc... relatively... But explain the water. The tidal wave that came down the corridor."
"Oh... that... I, um... Never really understood what that meant." He seemed to be lying but T.E.M.P was already too confused to ask further.

Katy was expecting a much simpler answer than the one Thracy was giving them. His explanation made no sense, and the fact that he was staring at her forehead was a little unsettling. Not that she could blame him. He seemed to be quite off-center at the moment.
"Okay," Katy said, leveling her voice. "First off, if you staring at my forehead some attempt at reading my mind or something, go see Spock and ask for some mind-melding instructions. It works way better. Second, yes, starting from the top sounds good." She took a deep breath. This was going to take a while.
"Alright, stupid things aside," she agreed, with a slight grin. "For a little, at least. So, you were T.E.M.P--" she looked at T.E.M.P -whether it was acknowledgment or a cry for help, she couldn't tell- "But T.E.M.P was never you. So, does that mean she just hasn't been you yet, or that she never will?"
Katy pinched her eyes shut, and shook her head. "So hallucinations still unexplained. I never understood all this logic-y stuff." She grumbled. "Any ideas, T.E.M.P? I'm lost."
