It had taken a little convincing, letting the pilot off the ship for an evening after he'd punched a dignitary in the face, and with his girlfriend too, who had mauled the dignitary, her brother, before being thrown in the brig for over twenty-four hours. He owed the Captain a big favour some day, hopefully not too soon, and hopefully something not too undignified.
But, Luke barely got off the ship, and after Ally's meltdown with her brother, he figured that they needed some time and space away from the ship to talk. He wanted to talk, there was a lot of stuff they didn't know about each other considering how in love they were, and he wanted to know as much about her as possible, so he wasn't surprised again, and because he felt he needed to if their relationship was going to go the distance.
So, he'd mithered the Captain, then let Ally know that he had something planned, then he'd waited.
He was standing beside a motorcycle - an old one, one that runs on diesel - a helmet in his hand. He'd learned to ride one back when he was sixteen and he'd loved it; the sound of the engine, the freedom it gave you, the fact that no one drove on the ground any more so you practically had a clear run anywhere you wanted. Everything about it was brilliant.
Luke heard footsteps approaching and looked up with a smile on his face. "Hey beautiful," he held out a helmet towards her, "your carriage awaits."

To say it had been a stressful week, would've been an understatement. After beating the living tar out of her twin brother, and then spending the rest of the night in the brig, what Ally needed was a break. She had stayed primarily to herself, avoiding much contact with anyone, while she tried to get a hold of the situation. She couldn't hide for long, and when Luke offered to take her out on a 'real' date, she couldn't pass up the opportunity. They had spent lots of time together, but it was never really enough. They were the first couple on board, being the longest, and had yet to boil up into a fight with each other. And yet....there was still so much uncharted territory in their heart, so many secrets, mysteries to unravel. She loved :Luke Martin with everything that was within her, and she was more than desperate to make their future happen...all in due time of course. Ally stepped off the shuttle, wearing a broad smile as he rested against his bike. That wasn't sexy at all. She gave a short chuckle to herself, wrapping her arms around his neck. "hello handsome." She pushed up on her toes and kissed him gently. She said 'I love you ' with the pure contact. "Is this how you impress all your girlfriends? she teased back, taking the helmet from his hands.

Luke returned her kiss, smiling serenly as their lips touched. One of her kisses was enough to keep him happy for months, years even. "Not exactly," he said, "you're unique, you're the only one allowed anywhere this baby." Most of his other girlfriends had shuddered at the thought of even riding on it, the appeal of such a machine was lost on them. He had a feeling, however, that Ally would appreciate it, and it appeared that he was right, if the look on her face told him anything.
"Put that on your noggin," he said, running a hand through her hair, "we don't want you hurting that pretty head of yours. Then," he swung a leg over the bike, nodding behind him, "climb on." He already knew exactly where he was taking her. He visited Delta Prime many times before, he'd even had a place here for a couple of months. There was the perfect spot, he had everything ready. "We need to make one stop on the way."

She smiled as he kissed her back, taking in his flavour as if it would be their last kiss forever. He was just too perfect somedays. Ally smiled again, biting her lip adorably as he spoke. He was hers, all hers, and she belonged to him. As his fingers ran through her hair, she placed her hand on top, leaning in to nuzzle him gently with her nose. She just couldn't resist that face.
Taking the helmet, she clasped it underneath her chin and swung her leg over the bike as well, wrapping her arms around his waist. He revved the bike once, and she couldn't hold her excitement back for long. It had been far too long since she had been on a bike, even longer with someone else. There had been that one boyfriend, Sam, but he was worth forgetting. She grinned, much roader this time, eager with anticipation for whatever surprise was in store. "Oh no worries, doesn't bother me." She squeezed his waist a little, letting him know she was ready.

Luke felt her grip his waist and smiled, revving the engine again before easing off on the brake, the bike cruising forwards, slowly picking up speed. He headed into the city first, Ally's long hair occasionally blowing up and tickling his neck, it made him smile, but he managed to keep it together, keep the bike straight. He pulled up in front of a small restaurant and left the bike running as he jogged inside, leaving Ally on the bike, he trusted her not to run off with it.
Hurrying back out, bag in hand, he secured the bag to the back of the bike and clambered back on, letting Ally's arms secure themselves around his waist again before setting off. He pulled round to the right, heading to the outskirts of the city. They reached a line of trees and Luke stopped, cutting the engine. Once Ally was off the bike and had ditched the helmet, he grabbed the bag and took her hand, leading her into the trees. It was only a two minute walk to their destination; a beautiful garden, Japanese style, floating candles on the water between the lillies, a blanket already on the ground. "Voila." Who said he wasn't a romantic?

As luke Left, Ally kept the bike sturdy. Other than Sam, she used to have one like this when she was younger. She enjoyed the control, the power, but this was Luke's bike and she respected it, respected him. She leaned over, holding it steady with her strong legs and gripped the handle bars. Oh How she missed it. She revved it once, half smirking as it purred. He came out a few minutes later with a bag, probably dinner and she couldn't help but grin. She was definitely hungry.
Ally tangled her arms around his waist again, resting her chin upon his shoulder, kidding it lightly. She closed her eyes, taking in his scent as they sped off again. Not long after, he stopped just outside the outskirts. She pulled off her helmet and tossed her long hair against his shoulders. Setting it down onto the seat, she took his hand in hers and walked with him down the narrow path. Dusk was beginning to settle, which made the coming night seem more romantic. Her jaw dropped a little as they made thier way to the clearing. "Oh.....my God Luke..this. this is beautiful." Ally bit her lip,, looking up at him with her bright silver eyes. "A real Date Luke, I can hardly believe it." She found it ironic, amusing even, considering they had done it all in a backwards manner.

Luke smiled across at her as she reacted to the garden, the set up he'd arranged. "I thought we deserved one," he said. After all, the had been together for what... nearly three months now? Three months and not one proper date, how modern of them. Usually you dated before you got to the other stuff, but they were doing it all backwards. Not that it was a bad thing, it actually made this date more special, because it could be the perfect date after months of love and turmoil.
He gestured for her to sit before seating himself down, reaching into the bag, pulling out two cartons. "Best burgers in the city," he said with a slight smirk. He didn't know what food she had been expecting after seeing the romantic setting, but it had been his favourite place to eat for years now, and the did truly do the best classic food. Also, they stocked the best beer. No, really. He pulled out the bottles and popped both open, handing one to Ally with a grin. "Something about this had to be masculine."

Ally shrugged off her jacket, so he could see the shirt shed picked out, and settled down onto the blanket. She smirked as he presented the burs. He had such an odds sense of humour, but it only made her love him all the more. "How romantic of you darling." she teased playfully, taking her's from him. She really wasn't a beer drinker, but she took in anyway. It usually made her head spin a lot quicker than wine, and before long was helplessly drunk. One beer wouldn't hurt...hopefully.
With a small sigh, she adjusted herself on the blanket again, eating the burger. It was probably the most amazing thing she had ever eaten. "Is this..real bee?" she asked with wide eyes as she hungrily took another bits. She was confident that this was the most amazing first date she had ever had.

The blue of her top caught his eye; it was form fitting and suited her perfectly. It was a nice change to the stuff he saw her in every day, she'd obviously made an effort for him. He appreciated it. "Have I told you how beautiful you look this evening?" he asked, smiling a little. He chuckled at her comment, "I'm glad you think so." He knew she was teasing him, but all the same, he could still joke and tease her back.
"Of course it's real beef," he said, shaking his head, "what did you expect?" He smirked to let her knew that he was kidding around. "Like I said, best burgers in the city." They really were delicious, once you took your first bite, you couldn't put it down. Ally was wolfing through hers at quite a pace, which make him smirk. Swallowing, he said, "it's not a race," in a patronising tone, poking her a gently before taking another bite himself.

Ally noticed the blue caught his eye. Apparently it was a good choice. She blushed a little at his words and bit her bottom lip, reaching over to take a sip of her beer. "Thank you. You look...so..so...well, to put it bluntly, you look incredibly sexy tonight." They were more romantic now, but they still joked around with each other just like they used to. Their relationship hasn't stalled it was just changing.
"I don't remember the last time I had real beef. Real...meat. Damn this is good." she laughed. "Please tell me you brought extras" She took another bite, savouring the flavour. He was right, these were the best, probably the best she had ever had. She chuckled at him, chewing her bite, as he poked her. "I can't help it, they're so good."

"A thank you," he said with a chuckle, grinning broadly. Hey, it always helped a man's ego to hear that he looked good... or sexy even. Especially when it came from his girlfriend. The burgers were good, and when she asked if he had brought spares, he smirked, "always prepared," he said, pulling out a couple more of the containers. Seriously, you could never get through one of these things and not want another, they were addictive. Damaging to his health and physique, but addictive.
Luke finished up his first burger and started on the second, eating a little slower now that he was getting full. The beer helped wash it all down, and once he was done, he groaned, laying back against the blanket. "I might explode," he warned Ally, "so no poking me back." Otherwise there'd be bits of Luke splattered all over the clearing, and he had a feeling she wouldn't want that. Letting out a long sigh, he closed his eyes for a moment, listening to the silence.

Ally chuckled, swallowing her last bite from her first burger. She happily grabbed another, eating it much slower this time. She was glad he came prepared. She could tell he appreciated his comment. It was the truth, he was sexy, and handsome, and wonderful and absolutely perfect. All of him. She still wasn't sure how on earth she had managed to snag such a keeper.
Eventually, she finished her second burger as well, washing it down with a heavy swig of beer. She still wasn't sure how people liked this stuff. Ally stretched a little, groaning in her own way as she felt her muscles pull. Luke laid down on his back, appearing full. She chuckled lightly at his poking comment, and decided snuggling would be a better alternative. "No poking." she repeated, laying down beside him. With a short sigh, she rested her head upon his shoulder, a hand on his chest, and a leg straddled him a little, just above his knee. She closed her own eyes listening to his heartbeat in the silence. It was by far the best date she'd ever been on, and they hadn't even made out. They simply ate dinner, rode a motorcycle and rested gently in each other's company. Pure, simple perfection.

Luke wrapped his arm around Ally, lying quietly for a while as he let his mind wander. This was the life. If he could have lay there forever, in the park, with Ally close to him, both of them just relaxing and enjoying each other, he would have done. But the idea of this date, as well as the relaxing, was to talk. But, where to start?
After thinking for a little while longer, he took a breath. "I think I can manage talking now," he said with a smile. He wouldn't burst from talking, plus, his food had had chance to digest a bit now. "Do you ever think about the fact that, even though you can be deeply in love with someone, you don't really know that much about them?" he asked, tilting his head slightly, "for example, I don't even know your favourite colour."

Ally heaved a contented sigh and kissed his chest gently, waiting for some sort or conversation to happen, either from her or Luke. It was so perfect here, laying right next to him. they hadn't been ..well..horizontal in a while. She missed the feeling of him, strong and protective next to her. With her free hand, she reached around, rubbing the stress points on the back of his neck, to relieve his nerves.
When he finally opened his mouth to speak, she was more than eager to respond. "I think it's perfectly reasonable. That's part of the adventure of romance, getting to know a person." She smiled up towards him, knowing exactly what he was going at. She knew they would probably get married in the future, and couldn't wait to get to know the man next to her. Everyday she fell more and more in love with him. "You haven't asked what my favourite colour is, so obviously I haven't told you." She chuckled, stroking his neck again. "And it's blue."

Luke wasn't sure if it was possible, but he relaxed even more as she began massaging his neck, she seemed to know just where to gently soothe. He smiled when she said that her favourite colour was blue. "Mine too," he said, "in case you wanted to know." There were a whole host of other topics he could broach as well. "Then there's all the stuff like favourite food, anything that my Mom cooks, favourite music, new age rock... you already know how much I like to read." If she hadn't already guessed, after all, their dream apartment had been littered with them.
"This kind of all started that day when your brother came on board," he admitted, "that was when I realised that I knew hardly anything about you... I that I wanted to."
