Lucy loves being around people, whether she's healing them or simply sitting around doing nothing. But while she enjoys listening to people talk, no matter what about, she dislikes it when the conversation turns on to her. She gets defensive if someone starts digging too deep, and will usually either try to re-route the conversation or sometimes even just simply leave.
The only way she'll only open up to someone is if she's known them for a while, and even then it can be iffy. Other than that minor set-back, Lucy is a fairly well-rounded person, happy with who she is and what she does. It takes a lot to knock her down or put her off, and she is rarely seen without a smile on her face. While she's practical and intelligent, she also enjoys joking around and simply kicking it back with others.

Lucy Madeleine Browne was born on the 26th of March to Victoire Browne in Jarville-la-Malgrange, France. The only part her father, a man by the name of Jacques Doux, had in her life was taking part in her creation. As soon as he learned that he'd gotten Victoire pregnant, he wasn't seen or heard from again, having run away from the responsibility of fatherhood. This left Victoire and Lucy with no home and very little money to find one.
A wealthy couple, Lady and Lord Devereaux, took pity on them and hired Victoire to work as a maid in their estate. Lucy grew up there, helping her mother, and Lady Devereaux, who couldn't have children of her own, took quite a liking to the bright young girl. It was her who paid for Lucy to go to the best schools possible, and because of that she achieved her dream of becoming a doctor.
She went about the city whenever she was sent on errands, trying to help any of the sick homeless folk she could. When she learned of this, Lady Devereaux asked her husband, an important man in the French government, to send in an application to get Lucy a proper job doing what she loved. The application was accepted, and Lucy was shipped off to work on the Venia the following day.
