Leo followed Will down the hall in silence, wondering why he had taken this job. When Will stopped Leo nearly stumbled over as he was not paying much attention to where they were going. He looked about himself and realised that they had entered the engineering part of ship.
"Thanks for that bundle of support, it is much appreciated," he said sarcastically while looking back at Will. He turned back to the door and opened it.

Hollie heard the door open and immediately looked up, her eyes looking in Leo's general direction, she had a headphone on one ear, but the other other propped up above the ear so she could hear. "Hello?" she said, not expecting anyone, "speak oh mysterious one."

Leo looked at Hollie confused because he wasn't sure why she was asking him to speak. I then clicked that she must be blind but swiftly moved onto the thought of killing Will for not warning him about this earlier.
"Err, hello... I'm Leo, the new computer tech guy..." He trailed off at the end as he was not sure how to act around a blind person, he had never really spent time around anyone who was blind; most of the people wanting to kill him could see him.

Oh great, an awkward one. These first few minutes were going to tell her a lot about how this working relationship was going to be between them. Hopefully she could lighten the situation somewhat.
"Ahhhh, yes, Will said I wouldn't be having this office to myself any more," a shame in some ways, potentially fun in others. "Well, I'm pretty sure your desk is over there," she gestured to her left, "tripped over the wheely chair this morning and almost face-planted in style. If I broke anything, bill the UGAP for it," she smiled serenely.

Leo chuckled and looked to wear Hollie had gestured and sure enough there was a desk all set up with the wheelie chair slightly out of place. "Nope, only the chair and yourself have been harmed and I think you got the worse treatment in this affair."
He walked over to the desk, sat down on the chair and turned to Hollie, he had to make up for the awkward start, "so, how did you become a computer geek?" He asked with a grin.

"I'm sure my bruised arm and knees are pleased to know that," she smirked, tapping the keypad three times in quick succession so that it locked, then she folded her arms, leaning against it. She heard the creak of his chair as he sat, and smiled.
Hollie chuckled, "geek, yes. Well, the things people like me can do these days are limited," she said, "technology is the one thing that comes handicapable for pretty much everyone, so I decided to go with that. How about you?"

"Eh, it's what comes of being freakishly smart I guess," Leo said then frowned, "no one really liked me at school because of how smart I was so to get me away from that, as parents do, I was sent to private school so I decided to geek it up while I was there." He looked up at Hollie, "and of course, I went on to university and ended up meeting the ever smirking William Blake he is one of the biggest geeks I know," he said while smiling to himself.

"Ahh, true," Hollie nodded. People wielded their smarts in different ways. Apparently this social ousting hadn't effected Leo's people skills though. She laughed when he said Will was ever smirking. "He sounds like a smirker," she snorted, "terrible habit smirking. I, myself, suffer with that affliction." She loved talking about smirking like smoking. At least smirking wasn't detrimental to her health. "Would you call yourself just a computer geek, or other stuff as well?"

"Yes, a terrible, terrible habit. I'm trying to give it up but it is so hard, people just don't understand," Leo said, smirking but then realised,"oh, there I go again." He slapped his hand and then laughed.
"Eh, computer geek, science geek, math geek and most other subjects geek. Oh, oh, can't forget Star Wars geek, nothing beats a night in with popcorn and Star Wars," he said with a laugh.

"I know! There's no support group for it either, or patches, or something," she snickered, "the smirkers are truly under-represented in that respect. Maybe we should start a group or something, Smirkers Anonymous."
"That's true," she agreed with a nod, Star Wars was possibly still the greatest franchise that ever existed. "I myself am a computer geek, sci-fi geek, annnd a music geek. Listening and singing and all that jazz." As someone who relied a lot on her hearing, music was a blessing.

"Yeah! We could drag Will into it as well, he is the one most in need of help," he laughed. Teasing Will behind his back was the only way Leo could get revenge at this point in time so he was going for it.
"I don't think I have ever heard a music lover be described as a "music geek" before but it sounds cool," he said smiling, "it's easy to get lost in music," and he was sure it was easier to do if you were cut off from the world by sight.

Hollie laughed as well, "actually, we could name the group after him, form it in his honour," she snicked, "maybe then he'll realise that he obviously has a problem."
"Totally. Being a geek is just about loving and enthusing about something, you can be a geek about pretty much anything." She grinned, "so, mine is music. If I start singing while I'm working, just ignore me. Or buy ear plugs."

Leo laughed loudly, "that would be brilliant! Oh, he'd love that... We could put posters up around the ship," he said, still giggling. Leo really couldn't see himself having a problem sharing an office with Hollie, especially from the current conversation.
"I'm sure ear plugs won't be necessary but if it is really bad, which I doubt, then I may just leave the room."

Hollie laughed along with him, "make an announcement across the ship, set up a party to dedicate the charity to him," she grinned, "that'd be awesome. And, knowing Will, he'd probably roll with it." He'd blown up when she and Ollie had pranked his office, sure, but something like that would just be funny.
"If I hear the swish of the door, then I'll know I need to find myself a soundproofed from to practice in from now on," she said with a smirk.
