Shifters

R4, the ever persistent terrorist group, has created a new life form, otherwise known as shapeshifters. Their plan is to sneak on board the Venia while the ship has stopped in orbit of New Earth for refuelling.
They get their foot in the door by sending a scout ahead; the scout kills Sean and takes his shape, harbouring the other shifters in Sean's bedroom. Levi, one of the maintenance staff, stumbles across Sean's body in a closet and realizes what must have happened.
Despite Levi's discovery, the shapeshifters intend to trap the crew by having them intercept a fake distress signal from a UGAP building in New New York, and then knock out various other members of the crew, taking their forms and downloading their memories. That way, when they land, the shapeshifters can go out as the team to answer the call and none of the rest of the crew would become suspicious. They'd be able to steal the information they require to work against the UGAP, the crew would be labelled as traitors; they'd be outcast by the UGAP, and still hunted by R4.
And so, the crew has to stop them from fulfilling their plan, or else they face certain death.

Shifters: Sean, obviously--his final thread, and it's not even him xD I think that will be enough for me in this plot, as Eva's likely to be a part of it too.
Unaffected: In accordance with what I said above, my other three charries will be safe--and largely inactive--throughout the course of this plot.

Owen would definitely be against the shapeshifters, I mean wouldn't Levi tell him pretty soon after finding the body? They are the cleaning crew after all and they must band together to tell others or stop the shifters with their mops! Max on the other hand will be uninvolved as far as I can think ahead, I might throw him in but I'd have to think about it.

Shifters: Julia. Not only will there be people-who-aren't-really-people running around, but there'll be an evil psychologist messing with everyone's head. I'm going to go need to tune up my organ XD
Safe: Most likely, everyone else will be conveniently unmentioned during this, so I have less running around to do. If anyone wants a character for plotting, though, I'm sure I can squeeze them in.
