Mike was glad to hear that his case wasn't as bad as other cases. He smiled but then caught himself. A little while ago he was in denial that he had a problem at all. Was it so bad to just want things to be clean? It was a rule his mother lived by, and he'd basically grown up believing how important it was to keep germs out of his body.
But maybe he was obsessing over all this because he could control it? That made sense. He missed his daughter terribly.
' Try and find a center of focus, per say, so that it becomes what you want to think about, instead of what your OCD wants you to focus on.'
But what? He already had a full time job that required a lot of his attention. He shook his head and frowned once again, "I'm not sure..." He hesitated, "I'm a pretty busy man."

Julia tucked her feet under her comfortingly, cradling the little tea that was left in her hands. Well, at least that smile had been there for a moment. It was better than nothing, after all. Brushing some unruly hair out of her face, she considered the Captain carefully. He was strong, she could tell. Both trying to control whatever could be going through his mind right now, and how the cushioned arms of her chair seemed a little beaten now. Poor guy, he looked so tense about all this.
He looked rather hesitant as he told her he wasn't sure if he could do anything. Julia smiled reassuringly, and untucked her feet. "It doesn't have to be something you learn over-night," she said, almost with a chuckle. "Do you have any hobbies, or little habits that come naturally to you? Apart from washing your hands, of course." She took a sip of her tea, eyes sparkling. She probably shouldn't needle him like that. Still, he looked so uptight. He needed to relax.

Mike stood and picked up the mug off her desk. He emptied the contents inside before placing it back down carefully. "I guess I should probably hit the gym. I used to work out a lot more than I do these days. Being a captain has kind of made me lazy." He smiled again and chuckled at that. "If you know what I mean."
He glanced at the clock, "I really should be going. It was nice talking to you Dr. Elkins. Perhaps we can do this again sometime?"

Julia studied the Captain as he stood up, and her thoughts led to approval. Working out would be good for him, probably. He'd get some exercise, it would let his brain focus better. Perhaps simply not working out as much as much as usual was making him restless. She smiled as his comment. "It's amazing, the amount of paperwork the government has laying around," she marveled. "And how much they want us to do." With a sweet grin, she stood up respectfully, making the cat blink grumpily.
"Of course," she insisted happily. She enjoyed talking to him, he was quite shrewd. Shrewd people often made good conversation, with her romantic view of the world. "You know where to find me, of course, it's not like I have much else to do." Perhaps she would have to catch up on her yoga. Stretch a little. Walking over to the door, she let the cat out, and looked at him expectantly. "It was lovely talking to you, too," she smiled. "Hope to see you soon, Captain."

Mike walked over to the door when a strange smell caught his attention. He looked down to see the little feline meow up at him and he smiled. He liked Cats. They were pretty clean animals. He stood at the door, turning to look down at Julia again.
"Thank you. I believe I might drop by again. Let me know if you need anything doctor." His hand rose up automatically for a handshake but checking himself he quickly pulled it back and awkwardly waved.
"See you."
With that he walked through the door.
