Personality: Max is intelligent able to do some of the more complex calculations needed for his occupation in his head. He is very serious when he’s working tuning out any distractions but is laidback when it comes to just about everything else outside of his job. His temper is practically inexistent and someone would have to do a great deal to get him to raise his voice.
Max is a sociable guy and has no problem talking to people he doesn’t know. He usually has comebacks when people are rude but knows when to admit defeat when he can’t think of one. He is fairly likeable and tries to give little reason to dislike him but he’s sure there are a few people that hate his guts.

History: Max was born in New Chicago, New Earth. His family wasn’t the most well off and his father was often between jobs but they always had enough money to provide for themselves. In his childhood Max had problems talking to other kids making him an outcast. But once he hit high school he came out of his shell and became fairly popular with most crowds of people. He excelled in mathematics but rarely exerted himself until his senior year when he went into overdrive to make sure he graduated like he was supposed to.
During Max’s first year of college his mother passed away leaving him depressed but ultimately longing to do better than he did in high school in her memory. He majored in mathematics with a minor in physics graduating in the top ten percent of his class. For three years after that he worked several different jobs relating to his major but never really found one that suited him until he found work as a navigator for a space travel firm. After a few months working there, he was offered a job as navigator of the Venia, which he gladly accepted.
Random Facts: He likes to cook but is horrible at it. He has never fenced a day in his life but he wants to learn how to if he gets a chance.
