History:
Gordon was raised in the ghettos of Washington DC, the former capital of the United States. He learned from a very early age that life was tough, so he did all he could to BE tough: fight kids for money, not listen to his crack snorting parents, and attempt to live life without getting caught by the police. It was in Gordon's neighborhood that R4 swept through, looking for children to take into their experimental biotic program. Eight year old Gordon was in the middle of beating a fellow child when one of the recruiters came upon him, lifting Gordon off the child and deciding he would be perfect for their program.
Gordon, along with twenty other children, underwent biotic training that lasted ten years, honing and refining his skills with both his biotic ability and combat skills. When he and the others hit eighteen, they officially became R4's first biotic group of soldiers. They were vicious and efficient, becoming R4's enforcers.
After three years of being a brutal biotic murderer, Gordon began to feel something stir within him. It was after a routine bag and tag, in which he and his unit torched some splinter group in the Third. Gordon hadn't noticed that in the chaos, a few small children had gotten caught in the crossfire, their bodies lying in the street as evidence. That "something" continued to haunt him until finally, an epiphany came: R4 was enslaving them. Gordon wanted freedom.
And this he got, although he had to go through a few of his own squadmates to get there(they weren't so happy he was leaving). After snagging a small transport, he was able to wander around for a few weeks, going from planet to planet, enjoying the new freedom he had. While inhabiting various planets, he would do whatever he could to help out, as if atoning for the lives of the children he had slain. Word of his heroism spread quickly and a UGAP official was able to contact him, pitching a case for revenge against his captors. He quickly obliged and was signed up for the ride of his life.
