Sam disappeared around the corner with Hollie in tow, and for a moment Eva merely stared after them. Then taking a deep breath, she straightened up and walked into the medical bay without hesitation. "Sean" and "T.E.M.P." turned to face her, T.E.M.P. looking only mildly confused, whereas Sean looked more suspicious. Eva momentarily wondered how far along his intelligence had developed, what with taking on the memories of a telepath.
"Why are you here?" he demanded warily. "Won't the crew try to kill you on sight? After all, this is a UGAP vessel, and you're R4. We're R4. If they see you talking to us, won't they know something's up?" Eva rolled her eyes internally. Smart enough to know her being here was strange, but still so stupid.
"You're right," she allowed, raising her gun so it pointed directly at his head, "I shouldn't be here." But before she could pull the trigger, he had lunged forward with an infuriated cry and knocked the gun from her hand.
"You were going to shoot me!" he accused furiously. Eva had to duck in order to dodge a kick aimed at her head, his only retaliation for the fire he'd almost taken.
"Oh, I'm going to do far worse than that, deary." Still crouching, she brought her leg around and knocked his feet out from under him. As he crashed to the floor, she pulled her knife from her boot and without a second of hesitation stabbed it into his neck. She then straightened up and glanced over at Sam and Hollie. It didn't look like they were done yet. But then... where was T.E.M.P.?

The commotion in the medical bay proper started up, and Sam could feel his face pull into a grimace at the sounds he was hearing. Leaning back as far as he could without falling over, he peered round and saw the knife go into Sean's neck, blood spurting everywhere. His otherwise strong stomach lurched slightly at the sight, and he blinked hard, wishing he'd kept his eyes firmly on Hollie instead of being nosy. "Hollie, right now, your blindness is a gift," he told her, trying not to sound too much like he was gagging.
"Taken... under... advisement..." Hollie muttered as she typed like fury, endlessly searching through reels and reels of coding for an anomaly, something that shouldn't be there. That thing, would be the shifter, and although it was a biological life form, to have merged with the computer in some way, it had to have converted at least part of itself into code to jive with the system. If only she could find that code.
Her focus was disturbed by Sam telling her that he needed to be able to do something about T.E.M.P. Eva, their new 'friend', was totally helpless against the hologram. So, therefore, would be Sam, until he whispered something in her ear that told her otherwise. Her eyebrows shot up and she came to a complete stop for a moment. "Dude, seriously?!" That was so freaking cool. Telekinesis. She was jealous. That would have been such a handy power to have, creating like a protective barrage around herself. Anyway...
"I have an idea," she said, typing again, "two seconds."
With Hollie's assurance that his powers would now work against shifter T.E.M.P., she'd said something about hard light that he hadn't really understood, he hurried out into the main area. Eva hadn't seemed to notice him, and she didn't notice either when shifter T.E.M.P. appeared by her. "Look out!" escaped his lips, and he hit shifter T.E.M.P. with a telekinetic blast, knocking her off her feet.

Upon casting a quick glance around in search of T.E.M.P. and not finding anything, Eva glanced back down at the Sean in front of her. Her eyes narrowing in disgust at the thing wearing her brother's face, she stepped over it and went to the actual Sean's body. Timidly she brought one hand up to touch his face, only to find that his skin was already going cold.
"...I'm sorry."
She heard movement behind her then, and glanced up just in time to see T.E.M.P. go sprawling out on the floor at the same time Sam's shout of "Look out!" rang through the room. After staring at T.E.M.P.'s momentarily incapacitated form, Eva turned her wide-eyed gaze on Sam for a brief second before regaining the ability to move. She was by his side in an instant, staring across the room at the hologram.
"Good timing," she commended him, clapping his shoulder. Not being able to do anything made her feel useless, but she couldn't deny that Sam was far more capable of dealing with T.E.M.P. than she was. Slipping passed him, she came to a stop next to Hollie, touching the blind girl's arm to let her know she was there. "I think Sam's got this, but it would still be reassuring to know you've almost got this. We still need to get to Julia."

"I'm working on it," Hollie said a little frustratedly, pissed that it was taking this long to find the shifter code, but also that she was being expected to do so much at once. Leaving the search for T.E.M.P. for a few seconds, she brought up a screen of the ship, guiding her hand across the map in order to find a temperature anomaly - Julia Shifter. The computer finally did something helpful and told her "Temperature anomaly in Engineering, near Warp Reactor core." Well, that's not good. "Get to engineering, right now," Hollie told Eva, "take Sam. I've almost got T.E.M.P."
"LADIES!" Sam yelled as T.E.M.P. desperately tried to fight against the telekinetic force that was pinning her to the floor, constricting her body, "quickly!"
"Gotcha!" Hollie hissed, smacking the delete key to exterminate the shifter's code. T.E.M.P.'s body went limp, then disappeared, Hollie turning the program off for now, just in case. Sam relaxed, taking a deep breath. "Phew," he whispered to himself, turning around and hurrying back to the girls. He put a hand on Hollie's shoulder, "thanks." "No problem, now go!"

Warp Reactor core. Oh, hell. That definitely wasn't good. Stepping cautiously back out into the main room, Eva peered around until she located her gun again and sprinted over to grab it. She glanced back at Sam and Hollie for a moment before heading toward the door, pausing only for a moment to call back, "Hurry if you're coming, Sam!"
Now, to get down to engineering. Well, to get there, she had to know where it was. Letting her mental barrier's drop, she leapt ruthlessly from mind to mind, peeking in on where each person was headed. Stumbling across the mind of an engineer--by the name of Natalie, if she wasn't much mistaken--she quickly set off after the other blonde, trying to takes whatever routes she could that would prevent her from being seen.
If she could have, she probably would have taken to the ventilation system, but they'd doubtlessly detect an anomaly then. Not that Hollie wouldn't be able to set them straight; at least until someone mentioned that Eva was with R4, and behind this whole attack. But she'd worry about loyalties and consequences afterward, right now, she needed to focus on tracking down Julia.
Reaching the doors outside engineering, Eva ducked into a shadowed corner and glanced around to see where Sam might have gotten to. She'd need his help finding the warp reactor.

Yeah, Sam was running a little behind. First, he'd checked to make sure that Hollie was really okay, and she'd had to repeatedly slap his arms and sides, whatever she could reach, in order to get him to go after Eva. Then, he'd ever so conspicuously collided with Jasper Riley, a visiting officer, out in the hallway. The man was built like a rock, and he'd hoisted Sam up off the floor and dusted him down before Sam skittered away down the hallway, shouting an apology and promising him the finest food he could imagine at dinner later.
Finally, he reached engineering, and peered round to see where Eva had got to; she'd vanished. "Eva?" he hissed, spinning round and catching a glimpse of her blonde hair. "Get over here," he told her, gesturing for her to follow as he entered engineering. There weren't that many people around, hence how Julia shifter had managed to get past without people noticing. The warp reactor was in the back of the room somewhere, he was sure, so headed that way, expecting Eva to be somewhere behind him. He wasn't usually this forthright, but everyone's lives hung in the balance.
Skidding round a corner into the back area, he saw Julia shifter standing beside a console. Instinctively, he shot out a hand and knocked the shifter off her feet, pinning her against the wall - her feet dangling a foot or so off the ground. "Has she done anything to the console?" Sam asked Eva, looking round as she entered the room. If she had, and they couldn't fix it in time, they were so screwed.

Sam showed up seconds after Eva had taken cover, beckoning for her to follow him. Without a sound, she skittered around the corner and through the door into engineering after him. There weren't many engineers out and about at the moment, and those that were around didn't pay Sam much attention. Regardless, Eva wouldn't risk it by walking directly in the open like he was.
It didn't take long for him to locate the warp reactor, and she hastily followed him in. He had Julia pinned to the wall, blinking in surprise, and at his question Eva stepped around him and looked the reactor over. "It looks to be all right," she told him at last, glancing up at Julia with contempt. "R4 made the shifters for one purpose--I suppose brains weren't exactly a necessity."
Pulling out her gun, she aimed it at the monster's head and caressed the trigger with her finger. This would be over soon...
"Irvine, what do you think you're doing?!"
She started at the voice in her ear, and grimaced when she realized who it was. It was a voice she'd trusted and relied on for nearly eight years--and one she found herself conflicted over now. But she didn't let that enter her voice as she said evenly, "Sorry, Theo. Consider this my resignation." Tapping the ear-piece out, she glanced back at Sam, giving him a small nod, and then turned back to Julia. Without another word, she fired her gun.
