Shaun has always been Izzie's BIG brother, the one that protected her at school and at home, comforted her when she was down, made sure she was safe. There was a bit of tension between her and her brother's fiancée, Liv, when they first met, but it was smoothed over when Izzie saw how much Liv loved her brother.

Technically, the pair are non-identical twins, only David was born before midnight on the 10th October, and Izzie after midnight on the 11th. Their interests couldn't be more different, but personality wise, they're exactly the same. They have always been completely in tune with one another, and they can just ~tell~ when something is up with the other twin. David actually felt a twinge of pain in his arm at the exact time that Izzie fell off the roof, and was the first one to the hospital when she was taken there.

Personality:
Izzie is generally described as a happy person. There's almost always a smile on her face; she's bubbly and vibrant, energetic, the life of the party. She has a good sense of humour, and likes to tease. There is also an intensity to her, she can be very focused and determined, goal-driven, and competitive. Her trust, once broken, is very hard to earn back. Guys are a bit of a grey area for her. She's had intense, passionate relationships, and casual ones; she's still looking for the right one.

History:
Izzie has been dancing since before she can remember. Each of her siblings had one thing that they were intensely interested in. For Shaun, it was law; for David, it was engineering; for Mia, it was acting; for Sara, eventually, it was dancing; and for Izzie, it was dancing too. Her mother, Violet, had been an acclaimed ballet dancer in her teens through to her early twenties, so encouraged Izzie into dance, as she showed the most natural talent.
She started with ballet and freestyle, but also tried tap, swing, latin, and ballroom dancing over the years; a bit of kickboxing and free running too. Her mother coached her outside of her dance lessons, and she entered many competitions, scoring herself many awards and holo-trophies over the years. She also kept up with her school work, taking particular interest in biology. When she graduated, it was expected that she would go on to be a professional dancer, like her mother.
Izzie passed her Art School entrance exam with flying colours, and with her new partner and boyfriend, Trey Daniels, she was set to take the school by storm. Unfortunately, one day when she and Trey were experimenting with a combination free-running and dance on the roof of the school, she tripped and fell off the edge of the building. Luckily, there was an old fire escape three storeys down which broke her fall, but she split her arm open in the process.
She had to have extensive surgery and was unable to dance for over three months. Trey found another partner while she was away, and dumped her a couple of days before she was due to come back. Even when she came back, she found it hard to get back into the rhythm of things, the residual pain in her arm making it hard for her to dance, and she eventually dropped out, leaving her dance career behind.
Instead, she got a job as a fitness instructor with the UGAP, training their elite in dance and other fitness which they wouldn't learn in the armed forces - they believed it helped with their agility and allowed for more spontaneous, free thinking when it came to combat. When a spot opened on the Venia, they transferred her there, to help the crew on board train and keep fit.
Random Facts:
~ Her parents are both Jewish, but she doesn't share their beliefs or practice their religion.
~ Still regrets that she didn't get her chance to be a professional dancer.
~ Her brother David is her twin, even though he was born before midnight, and she was born after.
