With the recent activity of R4, Thelma was a little on edge. It was likely that they would strike again anytime soon. She'd lost her counselor in the shifter attack and wasn't about to lose any more people. Her communications officer was on full rounds, working nonstop to ensure nothing was coming in from UGAP. She wasn't about to be caught off guard. They had scans going round the clock on wide range too. They hadn't heard anything yet but Thelma knew it would only be a matter of time. Even if it was days or months. The captain of the Venia had barely finished her cup of hot chocolate when it happened. Her mug crashed to the floor as she witnessed the flux that ripped it's way through the ship. Within seconds they had reappeared with an alternate Venia staring at them.
"Report... report! Gowan!" her science officer fumbled at his controls as she began to grit her teeth. He shook his head and shrugged. "Open coms... This is Captain Proctor of the UGAP discovery-class vessel Venia..." That's how it all started.
With her arms folded, Thelma glanced from the console to the alternate captain and then back. Their flight deck was practically identical to hers. His chair was far less comfortable she had to say. His... Hm... It surprised her that he was a man. It appeared that Thelma was a hologram in this universe. In appearance only. She was medic here and Thelma didn't know the first of medicine.

Ally heaved a small sigh and headed to find Luke. This whole alternates thing was far too weird for her taste. Luckily, she hadn't run into her alter self. If she had she would probably be less heartwarming and friendly. To tell the truth. Ally was feeling rather anti social as a whole lately, and she couldn't figure out why. It was probably the lurching inside her stomach that something bad was coming. No matter how hard she tried to set it aside, it slipped in her subconscious, regardless.
Shaking her head at the negative, thoughts, she pressed on the door and watched it slide with a hiss. Suddenly, things were not as she expected. Standing in the room was the captain and a woman who looked just like the hologram medic. Apparently, they had now shifted as well. Luke was nowhere to be seen. Knowing him, he was probably reading somewhere. With mouth slightly agape at the realness of the woman, Ally decided that she was now the awkward factor, waltzing in as if she owned the place.
Ally chewed her lip and backed slowly, turning at completely the wrong moment and smacking her nose against the door. For those moments she thought she hadn't been seen, now she was most definitely not invisible. "Dammit." she grunted in pain at the state of her nose. She pulled a hand away and found the small bleed that had started from the impact. Lovely. "I''m...gonna go. Now...out..there."

It wasn't very loud but it was sufficient to catch her attention. Thelma darted up and turned to find the location of the small bang. She straightened out her navy uniform ready for whoever would appear around the corner. Her eyes narrowed at the sight of her science officer.
"Lieutenant." She snapped, her tightly pulled bun almost ripping her hairs from her roots. "What the hell are you doing out of uniform?!" The cut-throat captain had completely forgotten about the possibility that the woman before her was not a double. "Well?"
She marched over to the woman and held a firm grip on her shoulder. She kept in close and lowered her voice, her trust for this crew was still scepticle. Call it paranoia, but from where she came - a vessel commander needed to be on her feet. She still couldn't believe the captain was a man in this universe.
"We need to keep up appearances. We need to show that these people wont be able to take us. We have no idea what kind of universe this is. They could be working for W4 for all we know..." she pulled a face and gestured to the woman's face before looking back at the other captain.
"Oh and go and clean yourself up."

Ally rested her back against the door for a moment, trying to take in everything the woman had told...no, yelled at her for. What uniform? Lieutenant? and better yet, What the hell was W4? taking to hands to her temple, she gently rested her head back until the blood ceased to flow. The blood was dry for the most part. Appearances could wait. She didn't have to polish up for any of this.
When the woman applied pressure to her shoulder, she shrugged it of a bit rudely. She was not in the mood to be touched forcefully. "Look...I'm not who you think I am. And I am most certainly not a Lieutenant. " Ally pushed back, brow furrowed in a mix of confusion and anger. She held her hands up, trying her hardest to show she was no threat. "I don't know what the hell W4 is, but I can assure you we do not work or them. I think they're referred to R4 in our world...and we are trying to stop them."
Ally straightened up, keeping her intense grey eyes on the woman. "Now..if you'll excuse me, I'm heading to the bathroom to wipe up this nose bleed mate."
