"You will be with that face." Addy laughed, catching Georgie's happy eyes. She was definitely Luke's sister. they had the same smile. She was starting to feel like she belonged there, when a certain note turned everyones heads. Ally chuckled to herself as Luke came downstairs with a guitar. What on earth is he up to now?' she thought to herself as he perched and readied himself to play. Surprisingly, Jen joined him.
As he started, Ally couldn't help but turn shades of red once more. Now she was really embarrassed. As the song went on, she felt her face flush with warmth and turn even redder. What was the point of this..really?She hid her face in her hands, feeling it's head radiate through her fingers. He was really going to get it later. When Luke finished, she drew her face slowly back up and rolled her eyes playfully in his direction, wearing an incredibly stupid grin.

His Mom started off the applause with a cheer, and Luke pulled Jen's head under his arm teasingly, forcing her to bow. He returned Ally's goofy grin, giving her a wink. "Oh my God," Georgie said, patting Ally's hand excitedly, "he really, really loves you." Jonathan chuckled and Andee smiled, covering her mouth with her hand. She'd never seen her son act like this around someone before. It looked like he thought he'd found 'the one'.
Once the guitars were put away, Luke skirted back over to the family table, Jen following. He sat himself down next to Ally, taking her hand, "and the initiation ceremony is finally over," he grinned cheekily, "I think she faired pretty well, right?" he looked round at the rest of them. "I'm pretty sure everyone was more preoccupied with how badly you were singing," Jen poked her tongue out at her brother, before giving Ally a small smile. Even she had to admit, there had to be something about her for Luke to be acting like this.

Ally shook her head and clapped as well. He was a mess. She turned with a smile as Georgie grabbed her hand. All she could do was give a soft nod of agreement to this, to him. His affections were becoming increasingly obvious. there was no doubt in her mind now about the seriousness of Luke's feelings for her. Her grey eyes found Andee for a moment, who had a strange, but pleased look on her face. What was she thinking up?
As Luke returned, she took his hand, giving a small squeeze. "that was sweet." she whispered softly, slowly meeting his gaze. "And regardless of what everyone else thinks, I think you have a lovely voice." Ally held his gaze for a few lingering moments before resting her head against his arm, nuzzling a bit. Cheekily, she smirked, and reached up to kiss his cheek. "I love you Luke Martin."

"Thank you kindly," he grinned at Ally, putting on a Texan sort of accent while he spoke. He smirked back as she kissed his cheek, catching his Mom's eye for a moment. Again, there was that something about her expression that he just couldn't place, something that troubled him. "I love you too," he said, kissing her forehead gently.
Jen played with the straw in her lemonade, smirking to herself. "So, big brother, when are you going to show Ally your old room?" She just had to bring that up, didn't she? "Ooh, you totally have to show her!" Georgie piped up, "it's adorable." "Girls." "Aww, look, your brother is turning a pretty shade of pink."
Luke scowled at the lot of them. He'd been hoping to avoid his room entirely, what with the collection of ultimate geeky things in there. But if he didn't get up and take her, they were going to hound him about it all the time they were here. "Fine, fine," he waved a hand at them, "if it'll make you be quiet," he looked to Ally, "if you would like to accompany me to the room of doom," he stood and offered her an arm.
"You'll love it."

Part of her wanted his lips to kiss where they belonged, but she kept this opinion to herself. He was absolutely radiating his love anyway today, who was she to judge,or complain? Shw watched him catch his mother's gaze for a moment and had the feeling, something was thick in the air between thetwo of them that would probably get resolved privately. She only hoped they would be okay.
Jen actually opened her mouth for conversation, which again surprised Ally. But then again, she wasn't actually talking to her, as much as she was Luke. The topic itself had already made her giggle. Luke's room, hallowed ground of the male species. "Of course I'd love to see it." she smirked at Luke, teasing him with a slight nudge. "Oh you will show me, won't you Luke."

"Don't you join in," Luke rolled his eyes, nudging Ally back before leading her into the house. He entwined his fingers with hers as they made their way up the stairs, smiling back at her. "Alone at last," he said, now they were away from the rabble, "and you're still alive, well done." When they reached the top of the stairs, Luke paused before turning to the left and stopping at his door; it was painted blue and had 'LUKE'S LAIR, ENTER IF YOU DARE' written across it. Even that was enough to make him want to turn back. "Ready for this?" he asked, even though he was the one who probably wasn't ready. Pushing down the handle, he swung the door open, gesturing for Ally to enter first. It was exactly the same as he'd left it the day he had departed for college. There was a blue motif throughout the room. The original 'space' theme had been replaced when he grew out of it in his teenage years, the decor was now fairly simple. There were posters on the walls of various ships and bands, trophies and plaques littered across the cupboards and shelves along with stacks of paperback books. Then, on the far wall adjacent to the window, there was his old pin board, with all the pictures he'd collected over the years of his family and friends. And now, to wait for Ally's reaction.

She tossed her head back in a light chuckle and pushed herself up from her chair as he made the gesture to leave. Ally linked her fingers tightly with his, giving a light squeeze as they made their way upstairs. She smirked almost seductively when he mentioned the word alone, but being here, they never were really alone anywhere. She couldn't help feeling a little adventurous now, if almost frisky, because of the mood he had set her in now. Resisting him would be a trial in itself. Upon seeing the door, she couldn't help but chuckle. Always the playful jokester. Another reason she had fallen in love with him. "Luke's lair, enter if you dare." she repeated the words on his door as he pushed it open for her.
Shoving her hands into her back jean pockets, she strode around the room idly, observing everything around her. She wasn't surprised at the lingering space theme. Apparently he had always loved the thought of being a space pilot. Her grey eyes caught sight of a pin board and her legs took her over to observe it carefully. It had pictures of him in his younger days, as well as his family. A soft smile spread on her lips. A family man, and he probably always would be. "You were so cute when you were younger." she teased with a smile. "I mean..now you're a hot mess." she laughed adorably over her shoulder at him.

Luke chuckled slightly as she repeated the notice on his door. "Yeah, some smart-ass teenager thought it'd be funny to scrawl that on that door." He stood by the door, slowly pushing it nearly all the way closed, as Ally examined the bedroom, all the bits and pieces littering the place. It was fairly tidy for a guy's room. There weren't clothes littered all over the floor, dirty plates stacked up on the desk - not that would have ever happened in any room under his Mom's roof.
He smirked when she called him a hot mess. "Uh huh," he raised his eyebrows at her, "what does that say about you, falling in love with a 'hot mess'?" Moving over to the bed, he sat down on top of the matress, the bed creaking loudly under his weight - he had put on a lot of muscle in the past seven years. "One two many beers, I think," he patted his stomach then the bed, which was probably going to hold up under his weight. Glancing over at the board, he smiled a little. "There's a lot of beautiful people up there." They had good genes, the Martins, even he could admit that.

He kept his room clean, but then again, Luke wasn't like most other men. He wasn't the type she usually went for, which was probably why she was so stupidly in love with him. Ally turned at his comment about the hot mess with a smirk. "That I fall in love with ridiculously good looking men. You're the best yet." she teased again, coming over to come sit with him on the bed. It creaked again with her weight.
She wasn't fat by any means, but the bed probably wasn't used to holding more than one person. "This is why you should stick to other things. Like wine for example. " she leaned in and nuzzled his nose lightly, before turning her gaze to look up at the small lingering glow in the dark stars still on his ceiling. "Your family has excellent genes. Not just..physically either. they're lovely people...welcoming...loving. I feel like I...like I belong here, ya know? What I would give to have one like this."

"Oh really?" he smirked, pushing her hair behind her ear as she came and sat beside him, "so you're still hoping to find better then?" he teased her back, nudging her gently. He was kidding. He didn't know what the future held for them, not really, but he was happy to take it a day at a time, and see where the adventure that was their relationship took them.
Luke snorted, "only a woman would suggest wine." Not that men didn't drink wine, but it was still stereotypically a woman's drink, and regardless, all alcohol helped you put on weight. She turned her attention to the ceiling, and he couldn't help but look up as well - he'd forgotten those things were still there. He smiled as she spoke, leaning across to kiss her jaw. "They love you already," he said, "especially Georgie. If she doesn't have you braiding her hair by tomorrow, I'll eat my hat." He was glad she felt that way, it meant that this Christmas was going to be exceptional.

Ally gave a short chuckle. There was no better than Luke Martin, and if there were it would certainly be God. He was the best thing for her really. He taught her how to love again, how to open up to people. She would ultimately be lost without him. These few lingering moments together were perfect, even if she'd have to sacrifice it later for the craziness of his family. Not that she minded. They were the family she'd always dreamed of. hectic, but worth it.
His remark of wine earned him a slight eyeroll and a slight nudge to the shoulder. He was such a guy, but one she could manage. When he turned to kiss her jaw, shivers went straight to her spine. He still held so much power over her, not that she could resist him anyway. "Well, guess you'll be eating away, because I'm not the hair braiding type." she chuckled softly. "I love them back." She turned with a gleam in her eyes and let her mouth crash into his. If she kissed him any harder, she wouldn't be able to fight off her hormones. Lord knows she kind of wanted him right now. Pulling back, she sucked her bottom lip in a little. "Well...we...we should go. I'm sure your family wants to bombard me with something else next.."

"Mmmhmmm," Luke smirked, "we'll see, we'll see." Georgie could persuade even the most stubborn of people into doing things with a blink of those blue eyes, a flick of her blonde curls, and a giggle or two. He was almost bowled over by her kiss, but managed to stay upright, placing a hand against her back as he kissed her back. Well, this has never happened in here before. As she pulled away and said they should go, he figured it was probably a good idea, otherwise his old bed was going to be taking a lot more strain. "You're probably right," he said with a slight chuckle, rising from the bed and taking her hand once again, "ready?"
The sun set, the air grew cold - some people headed off home, others moved inside to stay a while longer. But eventually it was just Luke, Ally, Andee and Jonathan huddled up in the lounge in front of the fire. Luke let out a wide yawn, stifling it as much as he could with his hand. "I think someone could do with a little shut eye," Andee said with a smile, looking over at her son and Ally.

Ally chuckled. She knew the power of women and Georgie was certainly fairing well so far. The boys were probably already tripping over each other. It still felt weird making out on his bed, but she was glad her self control kicked in from letting it go further. The moment would be inappropriate, as well as awkward. In fact, she promised herself that snogging was the only thing she would allow herself to do here. Nothing more. This was his home, and mostly his parents ow. The respect level was still high.
They made their way downstairs and took part in the continual merriment, eating, laughing and sharing embarrassing stories. It was truly becoming a night to remember. It eventually faded to the adults huddled for some quiet time. Ally sat comfortably snuggled under Luke's arm just like she belonged there. It was the most natural place in the world for her. She looked over as Luke yawned and then turned with Andee's words. She was still awake and somewhat suppressed hyper, but it was getting late and she would probably have to force herself to sleep tonight. This was all far too exciting to shut down just yet.

"Well, I don't know about Lucas, but I certainly could," Jonathan said, stretching with a yawn of his own, causing Andee to sit up and rub her eyes. "We'll see you kids in the morning," she said, climbing onto her feet. She wandered over and kissed Luke on the forehead, "night dear," she then reached across and squeezed Ally's hand "good to have you here."
"Night," Luke said as his parents disappeared on up the stairs to their room on the top floor. He looked down at Ally, "think you can carry me? I'm not sure I have enough energy to make it up all those stairs," he teased, tugging a strand of her dark hair gently.

Ally gave a faint smile and replied with her own soft spoken 'goodnight' as they left. She gave a short sigh and turned her attention to watch the fire play and dance. It was nice to be able to sit and relax without a care in the world. No R4, no scientific compounds to mess with no drama on board. It was simply the two of them sitting by the fireside in perfect contentment.
"How about you carry me out of the goodness of your heart." she teased back. "Did you ever think that.....that maybe we'll have this moment..in our own home? Like...with the dream thing?" It was a bit of a stretch, but just the thought of them sitting by the fireside during another Christmastime in their own home, made her heart flutter. "You know..it's late, I'm probably just babbling, we should head to bed."
