Luke laughed, "yes, I suppose that would make more sense," he kissed the side of her head, not moving right away, as Ally continued to talk. "Most definitely," he said, his smile calm and sincere, present across his whole face. He was an optimist, he liked to think the best about the future, even if the last six months had been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. He liked to think that Ally would get their perfect future someday.
Planting his feet firmly on the ground, he slid his hands underneath her and lifted her into his arms, smirking slightly. "How's that?" he said, before making his way towards the stairs. The guest room was at the top of the stairs, right round to the right. There was light still coming from underneath Jen's door, but she was quiet. Georgie and her friends were in the annex, out of the way, so no one would be woken by them giggling. Luke had to reach to open the door, setting Ally down on the bed gently once they were inside. "There we go free loader, from the goodness of my heart."

Late nights always made her head spin with questions, theories and 'what ifs', but she understood the rest of the world wasn't as nocturnal as she was. She clung to that dream, hoping for a chance at true happiness for once. Not that she wasn't already in bliss, but the 'I dos' and wedding bands sort of sealed the deal of commitment. Maybe Luke was on that same page, he just wasn't as chatty as she was right now.
Ally gave a small squeak followed by a few adorable giggles. This was new. She wrapped her arms around his neck and nudged him gently with her nose to let him know she appreciated this. 'Perfect." she whispered softly to him as his feet began moving towards the guest room. Jen seemed awake and Georgie was off in girl land with her friends for the night. They would have plenty of alone time over the holiday it seemed. He set her down softly and she leaned on her back to stare up at him. "I appreciate it sir." She gave a short chuckle and leaned forward to pull of her boots. "Would it be better to shower tonight..or in the morning? Will I have to fight for it I mean?" " She tossed her boots over towards her suitcase and reached up to tussle her curls a little. "And when I say shower..I mean alone." she teased cheekily.

Luke kicked his own shoes off, looking back at Ally with a slight chuckle. "Tonight," he said, "I don't think you want to fight a household of girls for the shower in the morning," then he added, "my dad is the worst." He was kidding of course. His parents had an en suite bathroom to themselves, but he, Georgie and Jen had to use the same bathroom on this floor. That had been fun on school mornings. He could remember several occasions where he'd had to hop out the house chewing gum because the girls hadn't given him a chance to brush his teeth.
He folded his arms across his chest and rolled his eyes when she said she was going to be showering alone, "pfft, what else would I have in mind?" He looked away from her for a moment before looking back with smirk. "Go on, get, then I can have the bed to myself for five whole minutes."

Ally nodded at his answer then went to her suitcase to collect her nightclothes. "Juuust makin sure." Growing up it had only been the four of them. Her parents, and her and her brother. Luke probably had a harder time fighting with two sisters, even if they were much younger than him. Girls were still girls and took plenty of time in the bathroom, regardless of age.
"I know you. And you're just jealous you can't have me." she winked at him, heading towards the door. I'll be back in a few...probably longer than five because I'm slow." she chuckled. "You know, no one to wash my back." she teased again, as she closed the door behind her. Once inside, she hurried and bathed as fast as possible. The hot water was slowly making her drowsy and knowing this family, it was probably going to be an early morning.

Wow, Ally was in a flirty mood tonight. What with the making out in his old bedroom before, he figured it was probably because he'd had to be gentle with her these past few weeks because of her injuries, and they hadn't done much. He figured doing something, with Jen only down the hall, probably wasn't a good idea. "I'll be here," he replied, falling back onto the bed and splaying himself out. This was so much comfier than sleeping in the annex.
Spreading his arms out, he lay there for a minute or two, his mind drifting to all the ideas he had of what they could do over the next few days. Tomorrow was Christmas eve, his Mom wouldn't have anything planned till dinner because of all the work she put in today, so he'd probably take Ally and maybe the other girls to the beach for the day. Christmas day would be spent with the family, of course. And then after that... he didn't really know. He'd figure something out.
Realising Ally would probably be back soon, he slid back off the bed and got changed into a pair of pyjamas. He'd figured it was probably safest, rather than risk being spotted walking to the bathroom in his boxers by giggling fourteen year olds in the morning. The other girls would have a field day, and he could only imagine Georgie's reaction. 'Luke, put it away!' He then clambered back onto the bed, pulling his arms behind his head, and closing his eyes. He was so close to falling asleep, it was hard to hold onto consciousness.

Ally finished much quicker than she promised because she avoided washing her thick mess of hair. It usually took 30 minutes on a blowdryer or hours to blow dry. It was clean enough from the day before to pass. She slid into a tank and a pair of athletic shorts and slipped back into the room. Luke had closed his eyes and seemed to already be drifting away...more into thought, rather than sleep.
With a soft smile, she crept back to bed, snuggling in next to him, wrapping an arm around his chest and her head upon his arm. "So what are the plans for tomorrow?" she whispered just above a breath. Every day was some sort of adventure here. She gave a short sigh and let the exhaustion take over. She was now fading off as well.

As Ally snuggled back in, Luke twisted his head to the side, eyes still closed, and kissed the side of her head gently. "There's a beach not too far from here," he murmured, "which I used to go down to all the time. I thought we could bundle up, head on down there. Relax." This whole holiday was supposed to be about having time out from the craziness that was the Venia and relax. Going to the beach would be perfect.
That thought was the last he remembered having before drifting off to sleep. He woke in the morning on his side, with his arm around Ally's slender waist, her face against her shoulder. He inhaled as he pulled away, smiling; it was always great waking up to find Ally there. Sliding covertly out of bed, he went to grab a shower before the rest of the household descended upon the bathroom. Dressed in jeans and a shirt, he attempted to make his way back to the bedroom when the squealing began. Georgie and her friends were racing each other to the bathroom, practically pushing each over on the stairs. "LUKE, HELP ME!" She was losing.

Ally slept like a baby the entire night through, neither tossing nor turning. She dreamed of the adventures they might have together on the beach and the memories they would create. She was well rested that night and had the best sleep in months cuddled up next to him. This was definitely something she could get uses to.
The next morning, she turned to her right, expecting his warmth to cuddle up into. Not finding his body, she opened her eyes slowly then frowned. Where could he have gone? The sound of giggling girls echoed throughout the stairs towards the bathroom. He certainly wasn't in there. She got dressed into a comfortable pair of jeans and a plaid button up and trudged downstairs, looking a hot mess from lack of the bathroom. She padded barefoot and tried to find him in the large house.

Luke had been mass mobbed back into the bathroom, barely able to escape the gaggle of giggling girls, no matter how hard he tried. Eventually, he ended up with a girl under each arm, as Georgie cried with delight, claiming her rightful first spot in the shower. "And this, ladies, is why you have your own personal muscle," Georgie grinned, dancing about in the bathtub. "I expect to be paid well for this!" Luke said, carrying the other two girls out of the bathroom, depositing them in the hallway as they complained.
Andee was in the kitchen in her dressing gown and pyjamas, her hand playing with the pendant around her neck as she stared out of the back window into the garden. It was lovely having a full house; having her family around her was the most comforting thing she could ask for at a time like this. She would have to talk to Luke about something, the thing that was troubling her, but not until after Christmas. The sound of movement distracted her, and she cast a glance over her shoulder to see Ally stood in the kitchen doorway. She greeted the woman with a warm smile. "Sleep well, my dear?"

Ally wandered into the kitchen, expecting to find Luke being domestic. Instead, she found Andee, seemingly lost in thought. She looked distant and slightly bothered. She almost desperately wanted to console her and figure out what was eating at her, but that would come on it's own terms. In fact, she still just wanted to spend some one on one time with her. He was Luke's most important woman.
She met Andee with a faint smile when she called her out from the doorway. "Mmhmm fine thank you. And yourself?" Ally found the coffee pot full and with some help found a mug. She sat across from Andee hoping for some sort of bonding time.

"Decent," Andee replied with a nod, "for someone of my age anyway. Gone are the days when I could read till two in the morning and rise at gone midday." There was a little bit of nostalgia there. Her daughters certainly didn't stay up till two reading, that was for sure. Luke however, he didn't keep stacks of books in his room for no reason. "I assume the guest room was all right for you?" she asked, leaning against the counter facing Ally, her arms folded across her flat chest, "no bed bugs or anything like that?" she added with a smile.
Once Georgie's friends were safely locked away in her bedroom, Luke scooted back to the guest room to find Ally gone. Now there was quiet, he could hear voices drifting up from the kitchen; Ally and his Mom's. He figured he'd give them a bit of time to talk, so instead ventured up to the top layer of the house, and out onto the balcony where his Dad was really the morning holo. "Anything interesting to report?" Luke enquired, scooting down into a nearby chair. "Oh, you know, the world is ending, the same old sensationalist nonsense they keep propagating to keep the general public on their toes. How about you, my boy? How's working on the Venia treating you?"

Ally parted her lips for a soft smile. She, as well as Luke, took part in late night nocturnal activity. However, u like Luke, she spent most of hers with restless pacing, tossing and turning and staring up at the stars from her window. She usually kept to herself at night, and she had never told a soul on board yet. It was hard to remember a night when she had slept as good as she had here.
"I slept like a rock, thank you." She took a sip of her coffee and continued. "Some guy came up and snuggled with me last night too. He was quite warm." Ally giggled, referring to Luke. "Best sleep in weeks really." Sh stirred her coffee around a little bit and took another sip as her eyes wandered out the window. They had a lovely place here and the sky looked as if it was threatening snow. It was already her best Christmas ever.

"Glad to hear it," Andee smiled back at Ally, "although, I'd beware of the blonde man in your bed, he may have other things in mind beside cuddling." She winked, laughing softly. She was feeling more awake now, and more distracted away from her thoughts. Jen wandered into the room in her pyjamas, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Morning," she croaked, immediately going over to the fridge for the OJ. "Sleep well, dear? No one kept you awake, did they?" Andee asked her oldest daughter, casting a cheeky smile at Ally. "No, but the screaming mob woke me up." She reached into the cupboard for a glass, then turned to Ally. "Want some?"
"Well, very well," Luke nodded sincerely, "probably the most exciting place to be right now. It gets a bit crazy sometimes, but hey, that's life." "And you can handle it," Jon clapped him on the shoulder, "whatever comes your way, you've always been like that." A wet haired blonde babe bounced out onto the balcony, plopping herself down into her brother's lap. "Of course. Luke is my hero, after all." She grinned back at him. "I'm still waiting for my dosh, by the way. Locking two teenage girls in a room is no mean feat, let me tell you. Even with all these muscles." He flexed his arm, his bicep bulging. Georgie snickered and poked it. "Uh huh."

Andee's words definitely caught her off guard. She swallowed awkwardly as her face turned a bright red. She cleared her throat a little and set her eyes back out towards the window. That was not something she expected to come out of her mouth and she only hoped that would be the end of the cheekyness. She wasn't sure she could turn a deeper shade of red.
Thankfully, Jen wandered in so the topic would hopefully shift. Ally watched her shuffle around towards the fridge, then offered her some juice. "No thank you. I've got my coffee." she smiled softly at her. Thankfully Jen seemed to too asleep to be restful of Ally's presence, that or she was just coming to terms with the fact that Luke wasn't letting her go, at least not now. She took a seep breath, then another sip of her coffee and curiously wondered where Luke had run off to again.

Luke slapped Georgie's behind. "All right, breakfast, before my stomach eats itself." Georgie shrieked and leapt up off his lap, Luke standing after her. "You coming, Dad?" Jonathan shook his head, "nah, you go ahead. If your mother needs me, I'll be here." "Duely noted." And with that, Georgie seized his hand and bounded back downstairs.
Ally's face went as red as a tomato, and Andee figured it was probably going to take a while to get used to such cheeky comments. "I'll have some, while it's going." "OJ, coming your way," Jen said, taking another glass out, murmuring some lyrics to herself while she poured the juice. Finally, Luke entered the kitchen, veering over to Ally to give her a kiss on the cheek. "How are you ladies this morning?" His hair was messy from the shower, sticking up so much that it led Andee to rub her hand through it when he went over to the sink for some water. "How did I manage to raise such a scruffy puppy?"
