Alliana woke with a great yawn and stretched her sore muscles. It was probably one of the most uncomfortable nights she had ever endured. She winced, reaching around as her shoulder popped. "Dammit." she muttered to herself, wiping the butt of her jeans and stood up to observe what the day had presented. By the look of the sun it was way past noon. She had places to sleep..ish and sort of stay but nothing really. She applied for some ship or another the day before, but had gotten a bit too caught up in her own mind to remember where to go. Her exhaustion hit regardless, and she fell into a slumber on a park bench.
She stretched again with a sigh, hearing something else pop and grumbled. With another yawn, she ran her hands down upon her face, and tried to remember where or what she was supposed to do on ...with this Venia ship thing. Something on her stomach told her she had probably been drinking, and wasn't favouring the beginnings of a hangover. With a small sigh, she popped down, adjusting her leather boots, and took off, one foot in front of the other to discover her calling.

Anna had discovered that while they were on Delta Prime, they were supposed to be picking up another crew member, only no one knew where she was. Anna volunteered to find her. Now that the crowds were being dealt with effectively and dying down, she was free to go a hunt for their crew member; Alliana was her name, and Anna had seen a picture of her, and had a photographic memory, so she was sure she would find her at some point.
She tried her known addresses first with no luck, then began to search the areas around the city blocks in which she was supposed to sometimes stay. Eventually she came across the park, and, as luck would have it, spotted Alliana walking towards her. That made her job easier. "Alliana Porter?" she said, holding her hands up to stop the woman and show that she meant no harm, "Annabelle McAdam from the Venia," she continued, her Scottish accent mild for the moment, "I've been looking for you."

After only a few feet of walking, she was stopped by a new face. A decently pretty woman had put her hands up and spoke her name. 'Must've been from the crew' she thought to herself, shoving her hands into her pockets. "Yaeh, I'm Porter...you must...be...from the crew of tha ship, Venia, right?" she smirked through her tick accent. it seemed she wouldn't be the only foreigner on board.
In all honesty, she had no idea what she was getting herself into. All she knew is that it wasn't jail and it might seem like something to keep her out for trouble. Normally she would look for it, but sometimes it just found her. In the back of her mind, Alliana considered this to be her second chance.Maybe this was it.

Anna grinned when she heard Alliana's accent, so there would be more than one Aussie on board - the pilot, Luke Martin, was too. "You got me," Anna said, continuing to smile, "I'm supposed to come bring you back to the ship, so you can get settled in." She assumed Alliana had already accepted going on the mission and signed everything. That stuff was so boring, but necessary.
Alliana was going to cause a stir with the men on the ship with those looks. If she hadn't had an Australian accent, Anna could have sworn she would have had Celtic origins, Ireland maybe - it was the gray eyes and dark hair. "Is there any stuff of yours that we have to pick up?" she asked, "I don't recommend living in just the ship's overalls, they're not comfortable, believe me."

Alliana looked her up and down, memorizing her face for later. She seemed soft, fragile. Her complete opposite. "Yaeh..yeah, I got it all, signed my life away yestahday." she confirmed with a half smirk. She could feel the woman, almost staring her down as well, but opted on keeping her mouth shut.
"I'm just gonna go grab my backpack, that I forgot like a loser, and we'll be on our way." It almost surprised her at how nice she was actually being right now. Polite wasn't something she did well, but she wanted this to work. As much trouble as she caused, for once she was was going to try living on the other side of life. It took her only a minute to jog back to the bench, where she grabbed her worn backpack and swung it over her shoulder with a thump. "Right then...we off?"
