The list was far too long for her to keep up with anymore. She had been down the self destructive road for far too long, and it continually returned to come back and nip her in the bud. Time and time again she was left blaming herself for her faults. Thank god no one else was ever hurt. ..well physically. Luke felt it the greatest, and she was trying her damndest to piece that train wreck back together again. She loved him more than life itself, and she had ruined the best relationship she had ever known. It wasn’t perfect, but it was in the mends. The last thing Ally remembered was the fog of voices and blurred colours. Her head was pounding and felt as if it had been hit by the blunt force of a thousand bricks. Surely that scratch hadn’t…she must’ve been hit later when the place started to crumple in. She briefly remembered the feeling, the moment, that must’ve been it. Pulling up all her strength, she opened her drowsy eyes towards the bright lights of the medical bay. It wasn’t heaven that was for sure, so she must’ve survived. With a low groan, she sat up a little, resting her elbows on the pillow behind her. She felt a bit groggy, so she guessed she had probably had some drugs to dull the pain. Damn, it was still there. Ally formed a faint smile, when her grey eyes settled on her knight in shining armor in a chair next to the bed. He was there…he was always there.

We broke through! Sam saying those words had almost finished him off. He'd been frozen to the spot, watching in horror as the group that had gone to save the team had been attacked, seeing the small figures whiz about his screen, surrounding them. He didn't need or want to ask how they were taken of, knowing that the girls were about to be brought out, he headed straight for the medical bay, knowing that it was where they would all be taken when they were back on board. It was lucky that Charlie was an AI, if there had been a human doctor there, Luke would have probably driven them crazy, first with the hovering around waiting for them to arrive, then trying hard not to watch their every move while they tended to Ally, cleaning up the cuts and scraps, filling her with the appropriate medication, making sure that her concussion was eased before she was allowed to sleep. And sleep, she did, for a long while, him beside her bed the whole time. His mind just kept going over the same thing, that when she woke up, he would apologise for all their time apart, and promise her that as soon as she was well, they'd make up for lost time. He was a little surprised when she finally did wake, a smile forming on her beautiful face. "Hey," he said, his Aussie accent thick on his voice, like he'd forgotten how to use it. He reached across and gently took her hand between both of his, pressing it to his lips. "You scared me for a while there," his voice shook, "thought I wasn't going to see you again."

Ally gave a faint smile and took his face in her hands, cupping his cheeks. With a tear forming in her eye, she pulled him close and sent her lips crashing to his, kissing him as if there were no tomorrow. After she parted for breath, she rested her forehead gently against his. "I love you...so much. I miss you, I miss us....Before you say anything, hear me out." Ally bit her lip and took a deep breath before continuing.
"You don't deserve what I did to you. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm just asking for a second chance to get it right. My life without you is incomplete Luke Martin. It's not worth living without you in it. I can't do this anymore, acting like I don't care. I do care, I've always cared.I just...I want to be with you the rest of my life."
By this time, the floodgates had opened in her eyes. For once they were happy tears. Happy to be here with him, after she thought shed never see him again. Life was worth living because he was in it. "I love you so much more then you'll ever realize."

After Ally's speech, Luke couldn't stop himself from kissing her fervently again, kissing every part of her face that he could reach; her cheeks, her nose, her lips, tenderly and quickly, showing her just how acutely he had missed her in the time that they had been apart. "Oh, I realise," he said, rubbing the tears from her cheeks with his thumb, "I know. You have my heart, Ally, you had it the moment we first saw each other in the Gym that day you came on board, it's been with you ever since. It hurt so much to be parted with it, with you all that time. I should have come for it sooner. But you're here now, and I'm never letting you go again, that I promise you."
He took her up in his arms, holding her tightly as they both sat there. He could feel moisture welling up in his own eyes, and he had to fight hard to blink them back, refusing to let them fall. Everything was okay, now they were together again. "I love you," he murmured, stroking her long hair, "and I'll love you till my dying day." It may have sounded corny, but he meant it, well and truly, one hundred percent.

Ally kissed him back with as much fervor. It he hadn't stopped, they would've most likely fallen into some sort of heavy make-out session, if not more. She knew how they could be. He was her whole life, her heart beat and now that she was with him, felt complete. Now nothing could rip them apart. She smiled softly when his thumb brushed her cheek. She took his promise to heart, vowing the same thing. She would never ever let him go.
She cuddled up in his arms, pulling him close with her lips to his ear. Another small tear choked up, being so close to him once more. "I love you too Luke." She knew he was close to crying and pulled back, just to see the small bit of moisture in his eyes. "It's ok to cry you know." she chuckled, leaning up to kiss his waiting lips again. She couldn't get enough, not after she had been deprived of him for so long. Her kisses were hungry and desperate, as if she hadn't kissed him in a hundred years, or so it felt like in her heart.
