He didn't need to face her to take her breath away, but since his back was turned, she could hide her reaction. Glancing over her shoulder, she observed the machine. She had used it once, but found it almost too predictable and beat the living crap out of it. Despite living in this futuristic world, she was raised without much of it. Her parents were poor and couldn't afford many of the new advances. So she simply learned, how to be human instead.
"Considering I don't know where I'm going, just take me wherever. " she giggled, forcing her hands into her pockets again to keep them busy. She put on her most adorable face, and bit her bottom lip again, breaking a small smile.

Boxing with a real person was always better, it was more realistic. It didn't matter how many advances they made with technology, it would never be the same as humans. They just didn't have the emotion in it, the drive or the anger (in his case this last time) to win.
He slung his bag over his shoulder, "after you," he said, gesturing for her to go first through the door, before falling into stride next to her. "I'll show you the essentials. Where you sleep, where you eat, where you do whatever you need to do," he coughed, then smirked, "then where you work and where you go when you're so drunk you can't remember your own name. Sound good?"

Alliana slipped out before him and brushed his hand by accident. Immediately she blushed again. She wanted to just kick herself for her reactions today. It was too much, he was simply too much. "I've already found my room and dropped my things off...not that I had much to drop off." she smirked up at him. She was conflicted about her actions and not really sure wih what to do with herself. She was never the type to fight over a guy, so if he had feelings for someone else, she would mope but eventually get over it. However, she didn't want to think on such things now. Now, it was just Luke and herself, getting to know each other in a friendly, well respected manner. No harm done.

(Audrin? xD)
"Travelling light?" he asked, steering them towards the flight deck. He figured that was probably one of the best places to start. She'd probably be going there quite a bit. When they arrived, there were a couple of people milling around doing jobs, they went quiet. "Well, here's where I work and play." Placing his bag on the floor, he slipped into the pilot's chair, tapping the console to bring up a holographic screen. He made it look easy. "Tada. He grinned.

[Sorry, too many RP chars)
"Not much on me really...."she confessed with a small sigh, rubbing the back of her neck. Alliana followed him down the corridor. Her jaw fell slightly and she mouthed a 'wow' as he sat down to it all. "This...This is incredible, really quite something..." She leaned over the back of his chair, eyes ablaze in wonder at the spanse of it all.

"You can do all sorts of things from this console," he said, "seeing as it's the Nav system too." His fingers glided across the console, tapping away, as he brought up a 3D map on the screen of the local system. "We're here," he said, pointing to a point where the ship was on Delta Prime. "We can zoom in, or scroll out," he demonstrated, pulling back and back until they could see the whole Universe in the map. He grinned, "one of the things I love about this machine, among other things."

Alliana was amazed at everything here. It was simply too much to take in. She was still reeling over how someone could be so unbelievably attractive and packing a brain in his head for once. It was rare. She folded her arms across the top of his pilots chair, resting her chin. "Like..bloody hell, it's so...amazing. You can see tha whole galaxy from heah." Something welled inside of her, and she felt as if she could cry from all the beauty. "I...I've nevah seen something so...so beautiful.."

Luke looked round and up at Alliana as she spoke, she really hadn't seen anything like this before. Luke had been pilot for a few years now, and was used to stuff like this. It made sense to him, he knew how to use everything front to back, back to front, it was like it was completely natural. But then, there was also the engineering side, who would have loved to have been based down in engineering, fixing the ship rather than flying it. But, he was better at flying, so this was where he was supposed to be. Alliana was so beautiful, he could still hardly believe she was on this ship. Her eyes had got big watching the screen. He smiled at her. "You're going to see a lot like this over the next few years," he said softly, "we're very lucky people." That was the truth.

Alliana had to suck her bottom lip to keep the tears at bay. Never in her life had she seen anything so...unbelievably gorgeous. "It...makes you feel so....small." she whispered lightly above his head. "As if there's more ta life....like there...there's a God." Here she was, rambling profoundly, but she couldn't help it. The view left her stunned and amazed, speechless, breathless.
"We are more than lucky people, Luke." She had finally said his name, and she liked the taste of it rolling off of her lips. It was tempting to say it again, but she was sure she would utter it many times over. "we are much...much more than lucky."

"That it does," he agreed, keeping an eye on her. She looked like she was about to cry. He wasn't going to say anything about God. He didn't believe, and that was that. He had no problem with people believing in a God, as long as they didn't try to force him to believe as well. Live and let live, that was we what he thought.
"And even then, it's still an understatement," he said with a slight smirk. He'd put his past behind him a long time ago, and decided to live in the present. And this present was pretty fantastic, he had to say. "What else do you want to see?" he asked, fiddling with a few more controls. "I can get up information on here about pretty much anything from the composition of the nearest gas cloud to the Captain's favourite meal." He grinned.

Alliana gave a faint, content smile at the grandeur of it all, before adjusting her position. "Show me anything you want..." she whispered softly in return, in an almost comfortable tone. She didn't alway trust men. The moment she got close to someone they usually used her, or ripped her heart to shreds. She wanted to believe, wanted to trust, but it was easier said than done for her.
She had barely known this Luke guy for an hour, but she liked him, if only a small crush. It was hard to choose between fleeing or growing close. Her heart never knew what it wanted. "You should show me your favorite place in the whole universe." She smiled in full down at him.

Anything he wanted? She'd have to give him more direction than that. The Universe was vast, and he'd travelled a fair bit. There were loads of places he could show her. Then she narrowed it down. Luke grinned at her, "it's probably not what you'd expect," he told her.
Typing in the correct co-ordinates, he watched as the screen panned all the way back in, through the galaxies and stars until it reached Earth. "Earth," he said, before scrolling in further, getting a clear picture of a park not too far from his parents house, "that bench to be exact. You have no idea how many times I sat on that thing to just think. I used to go there every time I got some sort of acheivement as well, late at night, I'd scratch whatever I'd done onto the underside of the bench. As far as I'm aware, it's all still there."

Audrin slid into the chair next to him to get his view. She was especially careful not to touch anything, in fear of messing up something important. When he answered her question, she couldn't help but smile. It was almost exactly what she expected from him. Too many people were for space expansion and the drive for the unknown with all the technology and robotics. It was nice to find people who just enjoyed being human.
What surprised her the most, was how he chose to talk about something personal with a near stranger. He obviously trusted her more than she expected. "That's really cool. You've mad your mark on the world." she laughed at her lame joke, but soon returned to her deep phase. No..I I think that's really neat. You seem like a man who has done great things, and have so much more to offer the world."

Luke was generally a very open person. He would tell quite personal things about himself to near strangers, it didn't really bother him at all. There were some things he didn't really discuss as much, only with people he was really close to, or his family. His family were the people he cared most about in the whole world, especially his sisters. They teased and tormented stuff out of him on a regular basis anyway, so he was open with them, and why couldn't he be open with other people too?
"Stop it, you'll make me blush," he smirked, before chuckling. "It was really about defacing something, breaking the rules," he teased, "wanting to rebel." Maybe it had partly been that, but also he wanted to 'make his mark on the world', even if it'd be gone someday. "Your turn," he said, "what's your favourite place in the Universe?" He was intrigued to know.

He had caught her off guard with his question, and she had to stop and think on it. She bit her lip adorably in thought and turned her chair to stare at the image on the screen to think on a reply. 'I....I really don't have one...." she gave a great sigh, clenching her jaw for a second. "Maybe the beach, on the gold coast. Queensland. My parents and I used to go on Holiday there every Christmas. Was sort of a thing for us." she smiled faintly, reminiscing on what once was. "But..ya know, times change and I haven't been that happy in years.' she confessed, now regretting opening her mouth.
