Alliana watched him carefully. She could tell he knew she wasn't telling the truth, but he wasn't pushing, wasn't prying. After he earned her trust, she would tell him the truth. Luke Martin deserved to know. However now was not the best time to drop the 'by the way I'm a criminal' bomb.
She set a few curls behind her ear and looked back up at him as he continued. "That would be great, thanks." In her mind there were 3 places she knew she would always be on the ship; her bunk, the scientific lab and the cockpit late at night when she couldn't sleep for the stars.

(Wow, 4 pages xD I'm already imagining a thread on the flight deck lol.)
"Hey, happy to help," he said with a smile, leading her towards the science lab. He hadn't actually been inside, the chief science officer was nearly always lurking in there. They got on fine outside the room, but inside he was quite focused on his work.
They reached the door; they were in luck, it was empty. Luke opened the door and gestured for Alliana to go first. "Haven't actually been in here before," he said, looking around, "equipment looks too technical for me," he continued, tongue in cheek. He recognised a vast amount of equipment from labs at University and other vessels that he'd been on. He didn't have to use it here though, which was fine by him.

(I can't get the future scene out of my head. The coming adorableness is just nagging.)
Alliana was soon like a kid in a candy shop with all of the equipment. The technology was mainly what she was used to, save a few newer instruments. Unlike many of the places on the ship, it wasn't run by robotics, it was run by humans. That thought was enough to pull up another smile on her lips.
"The technicality is getting inside a scientists brain. All of it is just machine, robotics. The brain is the best super computer. Always will be." She turned and to meet him with a smile, keeping herself out of his personal space. She didn't wish to be anymore over bearing than she already was. He was probably getting sick of all her flirting. "I...I uh...I think that's all for now. I should probably let you get back to work." she chuckled to herself, looking away from his eyes again. "You're probably sick of me." she joked again, slowly bringing her eyes back up again. It wasn't that she wanted to leave him, because God knows she didn't, but the longer she was with him, the more she wanted him. It was that mindset that forced her off. She didn't want to push him, even if there was chance.

Luke watched Alliana look round at the equipment from a safe distance, not wanting to touch anything, just in case. He appreciated when people kept their sticky fingers off his console and equipment, so he did the same for others. It was out of respect for what they did.
He looked up when she said about parting ways. ”Ha, I don’t think I could ever get sick of you,” he said with a chuckle. He sniffed himself, ”could probably do with a shower though, before I start setting off any alarms.” He walked across to her and offered her a hand, ”good meeting you Ally. I’ll catch you later, yeah?”

Alliana paused, heart momentarily stopped. She smiled up at him; god so he..sorta liked her. She realized she wasn't so sure where the showers were either, but she guessed there were probably separate men's and women's showers anyway. She would ask a different crew member later.
What caught her attention was the nickname. She wasn't used to it, but neither did she shy away from it. "Yeah....yeah, you too. I'll catch you around." she smiled, lingering the handshake again, before reluctantly pulling and making her way..or trying to, towards her bunk.
