During the terrorist attack on the Oceanic, a number of the Venia crew made their way back to the Venia in order to get weapons, supplies, and anything they would need to help. However, before they could disembark the ship, a small band of the terrorists, led by the terrorist group's second in command, took the crew hostage, flying off into space with the crew and the ship.
The crew has been split up into three different groups:
Stragglers It is possible that maybe a couple of the crew managed to evade capture. It's their job to not get caught and help set the others free.

They'd come in a mob of rough voices and crude weapons. Despite the disadvantage they seemed to be bordering on, the terrorists had taken most of the crew with a surprising efficiency. Katy was slightly surprised... Did they do this everyday? Probably, she thought derisively, still cramped up in her small little hiding space under the floor. A very smart person had taken a hint from the Millennium Falcon when they had designed the Venia, and put in removable floors, to make a quick hiding spot for times like this. Not first-class, but it would do. No terrorists had spotted her as of yet. They had mostly cleared out so far, taking the rest of the crew to various locations she didn't know of. She sighed, letting the air bounce around her steel box. She had already attempted to get out, but had made a bit of a clatter. So, she had formulated a way to get out relatively quietly. Now, she just had to wait a while, to knock off any suspicion. She tapped her foot for a while, polished her gun, sang extremely quietly, got paranoid about that, so polished her gun again. Eventually, she got so bored that she decided it was time to try again. This attempt was much better, and she got out quite quietly, to her amazement. She replaced the grate, and promptly heard a noise. Her gun was already in her hand, so she crept to the corner of the wall. She'd jump out in one... Two... Three! She jumped, and swung her gun around at the shadowy mass in front of her.

Mei had only just managed to squeeze into the supply closet before a few of the terrorists sprinted by, their guns at the ready. If she wasn't so small, she never would've managed to make such a small deal out of it, and they would've caught her. It wasn't until their heavy footfalls had faded again that she released the breath she hadn't been aware she'd been holding.
The dinner had seemed simple enough--until the explosion. She'd run back to the ship with several others, but she'd lost track of them in all the panic. What was going on, anyway? What did the terrorists want? She pushed the thoughts aside and glanced around, looking for anything that could be useful. A grin appeared on her face as her eyes fell on several suits of amour in the back.
She was no warrior, but any defense against the morons wielding weapons would be extremely appreciated. She hastily stripped out of her dress and pulled on the leather under-suit before tugging on the armour. It was a little loose, but then again, that would probably make it easier to maneuver. She pulled down a few more suits of armour in case she ran across anyone else and pulled a couple of guns as well, slipping one into the holster on her hip and gripping the other tightly.
After a moment of listening, she decided it was safe enough to climb out now. Carefully, she slid open the closet door, peering nervously both ways down the hall before stepping out. She was about to turn down another hallway when a woman popped up in front of her, climbing out of a floor compartment. Mei exhaled silently in relief, glad to have found someone else on her side. But just as she stepped forward, the woman sprung around and pointed a gun at her.
"Whoa!" she exclaimed in surprise, aiming her own gun at the woman instinctively. She then cringed, afraid her shout would have caught someones attention. Luckily, it didn't seem to have carried far enough. "Hey, I'm on your side!" she whispered, lowering her own gun to prove her point. "Here, you can change into this," she murmured, handing her one of the suits of armour. "Even just the chest plate would do."

Chanarong loved parties, but this one was too stuffy, not enough free flow, not enough movement. He couldn't stand any kind of party with dignitaries and stiff upper-lip types who didn't know how to let their energy ebb and flow to others. But he knew that his friends, his buds, his Venia crew members would be there, so hey, he could flow with that right? He had put on his best suit, then these enemies of the mainland, enemies of the household Alliance name decided to crash da party! He knew the boys and girls of Venia would need some weapons, so he was able to scamper to a shuttle and get on board.
That's when things got nasty. These old boys came over the ship and knocked Chanarong out before he could get his feet off the ground for a kick, shoving him into a nearby closet. He had finally regained consciousness after what felt like an eternity, Chanarong kicking the doors down that held him to reveal "Ai! It's you two! Looks like dem boys got you too." He didn't really know Katherine that well, but he had talked to Mei on several occasions. "You gots some weapons...I need mine." He looked at the surroundings, noticing the glint at the end of the hall. It was the light shining off of a medical box that hung at the end of the hall in case of emergencies...which meant that his quarters would be down that hall and to the right. "You ladies come with me, I get weapons, we set ship free, yah?"

Katy relaxed as she realized the shadow was Mei. She'd met her briefly during the Delta Prime crisis, and she seemed to keep a cool head. Good gal to have along when dealing with terrorists, she wrapped up her metal monologue. "Good to see you," she sighed, letting her arm fall. She took the armor, and looked it over. Nice stuff-- reinforced. The Venia seemed to hold more surprises at every turn. Next, she'd be running into a Wookie. She pulled the armor on over her dress-- it provided enough cover for her to hitch up her skirt, and grin at Mei. "Time to do some double-o seven work here, I think," she grinned at the science officer. "Care to join me?" She heard a banging down the hall. What was that? Some of the crew trying to escape? She scampered off, with Mei on her heels, and eventually traced the source to a closet. She was just about to open the door when it busted off it's hinges. Thank the Creator for that body armor of Mei's. She grinned at Chanarong's quick explanation of his master plan. Of the little she knew of him, she knew he could handle a gun. They had quite the SWAT team assembled. "Yah, Channy-boy, sounds good," she grinned. "The Three Mustekeers! Lead the way, Channy!" she exclaimed, as quietly as she could. This was going to be fun, she could just feel it.

Mei smiled at Chanarong, grateful to know another that another one of the Venia's crew was still safe. "I have another suit of armour here, too," she offered, handing it to him. Her smile widened at his words, and she nodded. "Sounds like a plan," she whispered.
She smirked a little when Katherine's obvious excitement bubbled over. It was surprisingly refreshing in such a dangerous situation. The fact that she'd called Chanarong "Channy-boy" was also enlightening. Shaking her head imperceptibly, she followed Chanarong as he led the way down the hall, turning right and stopping in front of a door.
Mei guessed that it was Chanarong's room, and her thoughts were confirmed when he hastily typed in the proper code to unlock the door. The three of them quickly piled inside and shut the door behind them. "What all do you have?" Mei asked, slipping the gun she was holding into the holster hanging over her left hip, as the right was already occupied. "Maybe you have something that we can use to free the others?"
She doubted they'd have that great of luck to begin with, but all the same it was a good idea to get anything and everything they might possibly need.

Anna had been looking forward to an evening off, an evening to chill out for once, maybe get some nice food inside her - not the synthesised stuff for once - although it was a good imitation of real food, and had the same nutritional value, you just felt better eating the normal stuff. Anyway, that hadn't happened. An explosion had gone off on board, and Anna had found herself running back to the Venia with some of the other crew members to get supplies and regroup. They hadn't known that there would be terrorists on board, but they should have.
Anna had sprung up into the ventilation system on her to the armory in order to avoid the terrorist group passing down the hallway. It had been a lucky escape. She'd crawled around, trying to get a sense of bearing and continue on her heading, without bumping into any of the terrorists. Crawling was slow, and after a while, she figured she was probably going in the wrong direction. Stupid ventilation shafts never ran in line with the corridors. It would be so much easier if they did.
Giving up, she opened a grate and dropped into the corridor, looking round. Her dress was torn, caught on a shard of metal, but she'd get over it. She was forced to dive behind a wall as three terrorists rounded the corner, jogging like they had a purpose, that couldn't be good. They passed her, and she stayed flat against the wall, then she heard a door open and the sound of gun fire. Someone was in trouble.

Katy, Mei, and Channy had dashed into his room to grab some of his weapons-- nice stuff, really. However, he had forgotten to let them know there was a back door. Some terrorists were doing their rounds, and Katy just managed to grab Mei and duck before they let loose. She couldn't get to Channy in time, though-- they knocked him out cold. Katy growled. She officially didn't like these guys one bit. She grabbed her blaster out of her holster and fired wildly, whilst trying not to hit Mei or the out-cold Channy. A few of her shots hit their mark, and they went down cold. She got up, and brushed herself off. "Maybe we can nick their ID, so we'll pass off better," she mused to Mei. She rolled one over, and grabbed a card and a jacket-- leather. The UGAP had outlawed leather years ago. These guys were well-connected. "I'm gonna do one last sweep of the area, just in case," she told Mei, opening the door as quietly as possible. She turned the corner, and caught sight of a dress hem. Annabelle! "Anna!" she whispered. "Mei and I are back in Channy's room-- he got knocked out by some terrorists, idiots. Mei!" she whispered back to the room. "Come on, I think it's all clear."

Mei felt Katy grab her arm and she was suddenly jerked behind a desk. She flinched when she heard the butt of a gun hit flesh, and she peered out to see that Chanarong had been knocked out cold. She swallowed and looked up in time to see Katy fire her gun and blinked when she heard the terrorists fall to the ground. It shouldn't have surprised her--Katherine was a UGAP liaison, so she couldn't be completely useless with a gun, she just hadn't expected her to be so good.
She nodded when Kate suggested that they steal the terrorist's ID and quickly went over to one of the limp forms on the floor. She snaked the ID out of their pant-pocket pocket and then took their leather jacket, examining the insignia on the lapel. It was unfamiliar to her. Shrugging, she pulled the jacket on over her armour and tucked the ID in the coat's pocket.
When Katherine told her she was going to secure the area, Mei nodded again and went to check Chanarong over. He definitely wasn't waking up again any time soon, no matter what she did for him. With a sigh she turned away in time to hear Katy calling her name from the hall. She stood and quickly traipsed over to the door.
"You sure we're all clear?" she inquired, shaking off the uncomfortable "you're being watched" vibes she was getting.

Anna heard Katy's voice and felt relieved that it was her out here, and not someone who didn't know what they were doing. Mei was with her, and Chanarong... but he was knocked out, damn, she could have done with his help. He was a good tactical officer, it was unfortunate that he had to be the one who was hit.
Coming out from behind the corner, she hurried across to the room to see whether the two women were okay, which they were, then swiped a gun off one of the guys, "nice job," she said, looking round at the three unconscious guys. The pattern they fell in suggested they were taken by surprise, and that Katy hadn't been aiming.
"Have you seen anyone else, any of the crew?" she asked, looking at both Katy and Mei, grabbing something to pull her hair back with, making sure the gun was set to stun, "I lost everyone earlier, and haven't seen anyone yet." They had probably been captured, taken to parts of the ship that were easy to hold down. Hopefully, they still didn't know that some of the crew were free and ready to help their crew mates.

Katy shrugged. "From what I could hear, there's more than one place they've taken everyone. Where that is, I don't know." She guessed they'd be holding them somewhere secluded, but considering how easily they'd taken most of the crew down, they had a plan. She hoped it wasn't that good. "Are there any radio frequencies we can tap into, video links, peepholes... Anything?" she asked around to her comrades. She had no idea how this ship worked, she was just the surface groupie. Wait... What was that voice link, with the box under it? "Bingo!" she exclaimed, dashing over to the box. "Big green button, that means on... Hello? Computer?" she called. "Katherine Quinn Tyler, surface liason. What would you like, miss?" a kind voice queried. "Get me video link to all the rooms on the Venia," she told it. "Audio too, if you can manage it. A pause. "I'm sorry, Miss Tyler, I am a bio-synthesizer. I dispense foods according to your dietary needs and personal preferences. What would you like, miss?" Katy groaned, and sunk to the floor. "Never mind," she grumbled. The bio-synthesizer bleeped off cheerily. Well, so much for that plan.

"Uh, Katy, that's--" Mei started as Katherine ran over to the bio-synthesizer. She gave up with a sigh and a shaking of her head when Kate started demanding that the computer hook video links up with all the rooms of the Venia, instead turning to speak to Annabelle.
"I'd been running from some terrorists when I found Kat, and not long after that we ran into Chanarong. We'd come back here to his room get some more weapons when these morons attacked," she explained, thrusting her thumb in the direction of the men on the floor.
"Never mind," she heard Katherine grumble then, and she turned to see that the UGAP liaison had sunk to the floor next to the bio-synthesizer. Mei went over and pulled the other woman to her feet before looking back over at Annabelle.
"Maybe the terrorists might have set up a base somewhere?" she pondered aloud, not exactly speaking to the two next to her. "Perhaps they've stationed themselves in a room somewhere on the Venia where they're keeping hostages and running the whole show from?"

Anna's eyes went wide when she saw Katy run over and start talking to the bio-synthesiser. Oh dear. She opened her mouth, then Mei addressed her, so closed it again, listening to the science officer speak, updating her on what had happened to them. "Well, they got what was coming to them."
"I was supposed to be following Natalie and Luke up to the flight deck when a group came out of nowhere. I've been crawling around in the ventilation shafts for the last half an hour, trying to find my way to armory. But now that we have these guys weapons, that's not really necessary."
She looked round as Mei went to help Katy off the floor. She nodded to Mei. "The flight deck would be the best place for these guys. It's got all the main controls for the ship, and I know at least Natalie and Luke went there. If they have the pilot of the ship and they can get a hold on him, find something to threaten him with, they could do whatever they wanted."
Pursing her lips, she thought for a moment, getting to the flight deck was probably their first priority. "I say we go to the flight deck. And if there's no one up there, maybe we can regain control of the ship ourselves."

Katy let herself be hauled to her feet by Mei, and listened as Anna voiced her opinion to go to the flight deck. Well, it was smarter than her idea, anyways. Unless they were starving the crew-- in which case, a bio-synthesizer would come in very handy... Ah, they'd probably have one up there. Scrap that. "I back that, sounds good to me," she commented, raising her hand half-heartedly. "Go bust up some terrorists, free the ship, all that jazz. Well, then we'd have to go find everyone else, but that should be easy enough, right?"
