Kiri watched him go, her hand lifting to her cheek to brush the place where his lips had touched. She felt star-struck, dizzy, giddy, and happier than she could ever remember being. It took a few long moments before she came back to herself enough to move. It was her first time in the medical bay, after all, and now that she was - unfortunately - alone, she might as well take the time to familiarize herself with it.
But first... she sank down into the chair Penn had been seated in when she first arrived. She pulled his coat around her and nestled down into it, inhaling the warm, masculine scent that clung to it, savoring the heart-lifting feeling of a new crush. Work could wait another few minutes. For now, she just wanted to enjoy the newfound knowledge that she wouldn't be as lonely onboard the Venia as she had feared.
