The banquet finally ended, dragging all throughout the night. It was nice to dance with Luke, seeing as she had never done it before. It was comforting and she felt safe and secure in his arms. there were a few mutters, whispers about them as they glided on the floor. It wasn't that she was an ex criminal, it was more along the lines of who is that woman in red? No doubt the women were just as jealous for his deep blue eyes. They really were a beautiful couple, at least in her eyes. It all seemed so much of a blur, remembering thier first encounter and how she stumbled stupidly inside the gym. The feeling he had given her as her stomach did summersaults all over the place, straight into the butterflies.
Their relationship had been rocky, rough even, but after all she had put him through, he seemed to have looked past it all. The after party was fun...for a while, but hanging out and talking politics with dignitaries got old fast. They chatted, and pretended to laugh but it was far from entertaining. After a while, Ally pulled Luke aside with her glittering grey eyes and a bit of adventure. "Do you wanna take a walk...central park? Watch the stars.... from earth?" She looked up at him with a soft smile, hands firm to his suit jacket. The stars were probably her favourite thing and it had been forever since she had actually observed them from Earth or New Earth rather. The walk would also give her a chance to tell him the truth if he asked. He deserved to know.

Luke had never expected that the crew would win the award, not even with all the work they had been doing. Sometimes it felt like they got into trouble for no reason, but tonight just proved that what they were doing did matter, and it felt good having it recognised. Dancing with Ally just made the evening even better. Having her in his arms again felt like home. The looks they were getting made him smirk. To him, he had the most beautiful woman in the room with him, and they could be jealous all they liked, but they couldn't have her. He loved her, and she loved him.
He was glad when Ally pulled him to one side, he'd been chatting with a particularly boring senator who seemed to think that describing the justice system inside and out was a fascinating subject. Yeah, not really. When she suggested a walk, he nodded. It would be different seeing the stars from the ground, rather than coasting past them at night on board the ship. "Let's go," he said, taking a hold of her hand. He'd been wanting to talk to her properly for a few days now, there was stuff he needed to know if he was going to trust her again. Lying under the stars and talking would hopefully ease any tension still left between them.

As he took her hand, a wide grin spread across her face. "Let's." she repeated with a smile. Her hand fit perfectly in his and they ran out like a couple of highschoolers ready to leave class. It was constant playful laughter with the two of them. They were no longer the only couple on board, but Ally still felt as if they were the most unexpected pairing. The bad girl and the good boy, together, inseparable.
They abandoned the cab outside and walked to the park. There was a cool breeze and ot wrapped itself around her shoulders. She still wasn't used to this dress. Nestling her arm with his, she rested her head upon his shoulder as the walked quietly down the path, lit by the overhanging lights. there were a few fireflies sparking up the dark. It was still a mystery how they had managed to replicate an entire planet and fill it up with all of the same species, placing them exactly where they would have been on the original earth. they were playing God, yes, but they were doing a damn good job of it.

Finally, Luke and Ally were getting back to the fun they'd had in the beginning. Ally had come out of nowhere and strolled straight into his life. She'd been so bashful in the beginning, her cheeks permanently a shade of pink, and he'd been attracted, that was for sure. Then there was that hug, and the night on the flight deck that followed. He would say they had been inseparable ever since, but then there was that incident with the UGAP, and if it hadn't been for Will's brute force and ignorance approach, Luke may never have seen Ally again. But here they were, walking through to the park, like nothing had happened.
They reached a secluded part of the park and Luke stopped, pulling off his jacket, laying it on the ground so that Ally could lie on it. "After you," he said. Once they were both on the floor, Luke linked his hand with Ally's, weaving his fingers with hers. There was silence for a little while as Luke mulled some thoughts over in his head. Eventually, he spoke. "Are you ever going to tell me what happened?" he asked. He'd been anxious about bringing it up, as he knew how upset and guilty Ally had been over everything, but he wanted to know now, and here was her chance to spill all and hopefully regain his trust.

Luke laid down his jacket for her and she settled onto his, the snuggled closer to him, searching for his warmth. Not that she was even cold. They were silnet for a few moments, watching the stars leap across the night sky, the hazes of star dust. She ytried to remember the constellations he had taught her. It had been years since she had looked up like this and watched the stars. It was something she wished she had done more growing up, but now she was more than happy to make up for lost time here with him.
His voice broke her from her moment and she turned her soft head over to his question. With a deep sigh, she closed her eyes and dared to begin.
"I was right out of college. I ran around with a group of friends who probably weren't the safest, nor the smartest influence." she chewed her lip for a moment, tasting the copper flavour she had now caused. "One night, they were throwing this party. Naturally I was invited. They said they had some sort of compound they needed to test, a bit of chemistry. The party was sort of a distraction for what they were really doing. Turns out they needed me to finish what they had started. Little known fact, I'm a few points shy of genius." she chuckled, not always believing the numbers. "Well....they were making an atomic bomb. One so powerful it would rip the fabric of time itself after the very core of atoms. Was one hell of a problem. I didn't know. The UGAP busted in after a followed lead. They were caught, I got away and labeled an enemy of the government....." she paused a moment, swallowing the word she didn't want to say."I..was labeled a terrorist. I'm not, never was, never will be. I'm rough around the edges..but...but I'm not bad." She sniffled a moment, looking up at him again, a small bit of moisture welling in her eyes. "I should have told you."

Luke lay there, watching and listening patiently as she explained everything to him. He'd known she was innocent, but he'd wanted to know exactly what was so bad that she hadn't told him in the first place. It had been a mistake, an honest one. Maybe she hadn't shown the best judgement, falling in with a group like that, but they were the ones who were making the bomb, and she'd unfortunately been pulled in. It hadn't been her fault, and he believed her when she said that she hadn't done anything to help them. She couldn't have.
"Of course you're not bad," Luke said, squeezing her hand, leaning his head against hers. She was right, she should have told him, it would have made things easier from the beginning. But, there was nothing they could do about it now. Everything was in the past, and that's where it was going to stay. She'd been honest now, and he trusted that. Now, he could start building his trust with her again, not letting that get in the way of what they have. "I love you, Ally," he said, "no matter what."

Ally smiled, squeezing back. She had wished she had told hi, earlier, but she was afraid to be caught. None of that mattered now, it was all behind them. The past was now buried. She shifted next to him looking up at the fog of stars dotting the sky. "Look!" she pointed up dramatically. "Falling star." She scrunched up her face closing her eyes, and made a wish. She opened them again, sucking her bottom lip as she turned back towards him with anxious eyes, wondering if he had wished as well.
Her wish might've been too much to ask, but it was what her heart was tugging at, and wishing never hurt. Ally reached over and kissed his cheek with a soft whispered 'I love you' and sighed, looking back up. She felt so very small in this world, but unlike the pervious times, she was no longer alone.

Luke's face spread into a grin as she pointed excitedly at the falling star. It was almost like a sign. He kept his eyes open as he thought about what he wished for right at this moment. It wasn't hard to guess. Ally kissed his cheek and he smiled. It was quite possible she was hoping for the same thing too.
She turned her head back to the sky, and Luke tried to distract himself with the stars, but it was hard with someone like Ally lying right next to him, cuddling into him for warmth. Luke looked over at her, tracing his finger along the far side of her jaw, gently signalling for her to look at him. When she did so, he leaned forward, kissing her on the lips, resting his hand on her cheek.

Ally had wished that they could be together, but it was her thought process not his. It was only wishful thinking. She gave a small sigh and felt his finger trace her jaw, then his breath hover above hers. She could never turn him down when he had that look in his endless blue eyes. She eased in and met his lips, slowly building up the heat and intensity.
Her mind was not necessarily in the gutter right now, rather than lost in a fit of passion. He was just so...so... Wonderful. How on earth did this happen to her? She pulled back, breathing heavy onto his own face. She soaked up every little detail, his cologne, the way his hair was messily placed, and the sparkle in his eyes. By now, she was practically on top of him, hands firmly placed on his broad chest. God , he was amazing.

Ally was completely irresistible. Naturally, the kiss deepened, the sound of his heart beating in his ears. She pulled away in order to move, straddling him as he lay there on the ground, her hands on his chest. His hands slid onto her thighs, creasing her dress slightly as he reached up to meet her lips again, pulling her back down to his level. Now that the level of trust had returned, Luke had no problems giving himself to Alliana again. It was what he wanted.
Things got pretty heated, and after a few minutes of their entwined lips and mingling breath, Luke remembered that they were actually in a public park. If they didn't move then they could be arrested for public indecency. Which, although amusing, would put a damper on the evening. "We need..." he said in between kisses, "to find somewhere more private."

Luke was certainly ahead of her in thought right now. Her skin shuddered and tingled when his fingers grazed her thigh, rubbing the deep satin away from her skin. Ally felt her dress rise and placed a hand upon his wrist, keeping it down. "Whoah there cowboy, keep it tame." she chuckled, reaching down for another kiss. She knew what he was after, and although it hadn't been her original plan tonight, she probably wouldn't turn him down. There were no restrictions, nothing holding them back now. they had no one to offend and certainly no one to get in trouble with.
Ally rested her forehead against his letting his words tumble out breathlessly. Public indecency would not go down well on their records, nor would it look good to the rest of the crew. Anna would never let her live that down. With a devious smirk, she leaned down to kiss his lower jaw. "And what did you have in Mind Mr. Martin?"

Luke grinned when she told him to keep it tame. Of course he would in the park, his hand had just... slipped, but he had no particular ideas about keeping in tame if they made it back somewhere more private. He still wasn't sure about doing something like that on the ship, someone had walked in on them making out once and he'd dropped Ally in surprise - not his finest moment - so, this required somewhere with a little more privacy.
He closed his eyes for a moment as her lips grazed his jaw. "Well, Ms. Porter," he said, his hanands still comfortably placed on her thighs, "this city isn't exactly lacking in hotels, and this job pays better than you'd think." He grinned, waiting for her reply.

"Let's just find ourselves one with a big bed then." she smirked, raising her eyebrow ever so slightly. She knew she was a tease no matter what she did and he was just so damn good to mess with. They always managed their just rewards anyway-no matter what they did. Ally pushed herself up and away from his broad arms and slid her heels from her feet. They were beginning to ache.
"I've never been to New York." she confessed, taking his hand gently as he got up. "So I really wouldn't know what to look for. But...from my guess. We should make the best of tonight, do this...thing right. Rent a lovely suite, drink some wine, be romantic." She swung their hands a little, and she looked up with hopeful eyes. They were just so unbelievably beautiful she had to catch her breath. was he really all hers? "It would be nice to wake up to each other...rather than the UGAP...don't you think?"

Luke let out a laugh when she said they should find one with a big bed, she was most definitely on the same wavelength as him now. "Just a big bed?" he said with an identical smirk, "no room service or mood lighting?" He couldn't help himself. This was the most relaxed he'd felt in over a week, and it all came down to resolving this tension between Ally and himself. He loved her, she was what made his world go round.
Intertwining her fingers with his, he smiled across at her, picking up his jacket, wrapping it around her shoulders. "You know the answer to that already," he said, "I'm sure we can find somewhere to your tastes, splash out a little." Keeping a hold of her hand, he set off at a calm pace. There was this place that he and his sister's had booked for their parents for their 30th wedding anniversary, and it had looked perfect. He led them there and booked the only suite that they had left. Once he had the card key, he looked round at Ally. "Come on, dear."

""Okay. Mood lighting too, maybe room service." she teased back at him with a small laugh. They were making amends, and fixing what she had broken. He didn't seem to be holding a grudge, which of course only made her love him more. Ally bit her lip, then let it go slowly from her teeth in the most adorable manner. She was giddy withe excitement. A real, honest to God romantic evening with no distractions, nothing and no one could get in their way.
Ally felt him weave his fingers with his and pushing her hand in, letting their palms collide. Her jacket fell upon her shoulders and she closed her eyes, taking in his scent. She savoured the way it smelled, way he smelled. They walked, giggling like a couple of middle schoolers and eventually made thier way to a rather fancy, 5 star hotel. Secretly what she had been wishing for. They had 1 Room available, The Gold en Romantic suite. Perfect for such a couple in love.
It was hard for them to keep their hands to themselves in the elevator, but somehow they managed. She held her breath as Luke slipped the card into the door, pushing it open with his shoulder. The suite was luxuriously detailed. The reds and gold matched Ally's chosen attire for the evening, with deep reds and gold. A bottle of wine lay in ice for them, and Ally was practically brimming with excitement. Not for what was coming alone, but just the sheer knowledge that for once they would get perfect time to themselves.
With a hapless sigh of bliss she tossed her shoes and plopped on her back into the king sized bed. "Ohhh...This...this is nice. Can we get beds like this on board please?"
