It wasn't often that Lizzy felt this wrecked. She was currently in the mess hall, her butt in a chair, her top half splayed out across the table. She let out a groan as Alex tried to poke some life into her, batting his hand away, so he left her to it. She'd been working non-stop since her first day, smatterings of sleep in between shifts. Usually, she didn't have a problem sleeping, but the hum of the ship at night was keeping her awake, and it made her irritable. In fact, the only times she wasn't usually irritable was when she was spending time chatting with Sean.
Anyway, her head resting against the table and her eyes closed, she heard the door open and someone enter. There was silence for a moment, then a male voice practically crowed her name. Opening her eyes and lifting her head up to see who it was, her mouth fell open. "Oh my God."

Wally practically beamed when the door opened and he saw who sat inside. "Liiiiizzzzyyyy!" He crowd, wheeling forward in his chair. He was in his sports chair simply because he liked it more. It was easier to get around in. He used his normal chair for long journeys.
He'd decided to leave the gym and go for a "walk" of sorts just to see what he could see.
He was thrilled that one of the first people he ran into was the very same woman he'd pestered for her name and number a month ago.
"Wow! Fancy seeing you here." He smiled as he wheeled up towards her, his muscled arms flexing, he sat up, puffing his chest out a little and trying to make his upper body really look good.

Oh my God. Oh my God. Thank the Lord no one could read her mind right now because she was freaking out. Wally, why him? Of all the people in the Universe, why was he on this ship? He'd been so, SO annoying back in that bar on Delta Prime, pestering her incessently for her name until she'd finally given in and told him. He hadn't left her alone all evening, and while their banter back and forth had included smatterings of actual conversation, most of it - she could have sworn - had been: 'Lizzy.' 'What?' over and over again.
Resisting the urge to do a spectacular face palm for the ages, she propped her head up on her hand, staring right at him. "What are you doing here?" she asked, tired and not in the mood for his antics right now, especially if he was just going to wind her up.

“One of my clients is a stock holder for some big company that has interest in this ship. He got me the job.” He stopped, throwing the breaks of his chair into lock and stretching his arms behind his back, making his pictorials practically bulge through his tight t-shirt. “So yeah. I figured it might be fun for awhile, playing astronaut and all that.”
He leaned an arm onto the table next to her, making him move in close. “How about you? You’re an engineer right? I remember that because I remember thinking how sexy that is…” He smirked, knowing she’d probably get all defensive and huffy. He liked seeing her like that. It was cute.

It seemed like a legitimate reason, but him pulling his arms behind his back like that did nothing for his cause. She found herself staring at his chest for a moment before quickly looking away, averting her eyes to anywhere but Wally, trying not to turn red with embarrassment. "Uh-huh," was all she managed for the moment. She spluttered a little when he said that he'd found her being an engineer sexy, drawing in close. She sat up straight, opening and closing her mouth instead of speaking. "Y-Yes, I'm an engineer," she said, "and an architect... except, I don't actually do any architecture right now... so never mind."
This was her other problem with Wally, he had this habit of making her trip over her own words and say stupid things. It wasn't enough to just be clumsy around him, he made her act like a complete and utter goon as well. His blue eyes were focusing intensely on her brown. "I, uh, well, I should be getting back to work or something." Or something, why did she say that out loud. Standing up, she pushed her chair back, preparing to leave.

Wally was smiling as he watched her become flustered. It was very cute, very cute indeed. He tilted his head to the side a little and when she said she was also an architect but not practicing her craft her was actually curious. "Why not?"
Then she was telling him she needed to go and scooting her chair back. He frowned and his hands went to the wheels of his chair. He backed himself up a little before moving to get between her and the door.
"Why? You look a little in need of some R and R. Why don't you let me buy you a drink?" He knew he always seemed to be asking her questions, but that was because he really wanted to get to know this girl. "Common. I'm sure the whole ship wont fall apart if you take a little break?"

Lizzy pressed her lips together when he asked why not. "Because..." why was she answering his question? "Because the government said that they wanted me here, and well, I couldn't turn them down." That wasn't the whole truth. She loved doing her architecture more than anything else, but her brother had loved it so much when he was alive that when he died, she'd felt she couldn't do it with any seriousness without him there. But she wasn't about to tell Wally this.
She tried to leave, but he got in the way, as per usual. He was so persistent. A childish person would have jostled around in an irritated manner, trying to think of some way to get out of it. But when she looked at him, he looked genuinely interested, and he was right. She needed rest more than anything else right now. With a sigh, she said, "all right," shaking her head at herself, "one drink, okay?"

"Yaaay!" The buff Australian man said. It sounded odd coming from him, it was actually said softly but the energy was there as he wheeled past her towards the bar, a smile on his face as if she's just agreed to give him a million dollars.
Yes. Wally could be silly, but he could be very serious when it was needed. He stopped at the bar and realized that the stools were somewhat high up for him and he started to situation himself, using his upper body strength to get him onto one.
"Sooooo..." He said with a grunt once situated, "The government asked you here? Wow. You must be the best. Or maybe you've got some kind of relationship with a government official?"

A small resemblence of a smile found its way onto Lizzy's face when he said 'Yay'. It sounded so weird coming from his mouth, and amusing at the same time. She followed him to the bar, sliding onto a stool, watching as he pulled himself up onto another. She'd learned back at the other bar that he didn't need help getting up anywhere, especially with all that upper body strength. "I thought you said we were having a drink?" she said, before noting no one was actually serving at this time.
She used the stool as a boost to push herself up and over the bar, dropping down behind it. Picking up a couple of glasses, putting them down on the counter, she began picking up various bottles, anything that looked tasty. "Pffft," she said, "it's because I'm the best. Will Blake would tell you he is," she said, "but don't listen to him, he doesn't know what he's talking about." She placed the bottles down, "Unlike you, using your contacts to get here. Having a bit of fun. And actually helping people, I assume you do intend to do that?"

Wally leaned forward onto the bar as he watched her get the drinks. That wasn't exactly what he had in mind but it would work. He merely watched her closely, his eyes looking her over as she joked. "I heard about that guy. Didn't he just get his ass covered in whipped cream or something? The video was funny as hell. Yeah I think i'll like it here."
He took the glasses from her and started to pour the drinks. "I'm sure you are the best though. Just like I am." He looked at her then, his blue eyes blazing, "I'm all about having fun and helping people. I'm helping your captain out right now. He wants to get rid of his stomach. I assume he's got a crush on someone around here. Probably because there's so many pretty ladies on this ship. Cheers." he raised his glass to her.

"He did, he did actually," Lizzy said, trying to surpress some laughter. For a moment when she'd watched the video she felt sorry for him, but after a few seconds of shock, she'd burst into hysterics like much of the crew. With the way he was in engineering, it wasn't hard to believe that someone would pull a prank on him. Kudos to Ollie for having the balls to do it. "Yeah, you probably will."
"Mmmhmmmm," she smirked at him as she agreed. She had no idea whether he was the best fitness instructor. He had to have determination though, she'd give him that. "Oooh, a crush?" gossip like that was sure to spread like wild fire if it got out, "that'd be cute, actually, if he did have a crush on someone." He began to sort out the drinks and she hopped back over the bar, seating herself down. It was weird, when he was sitting on a stool, he was actually taller than her. "Cin cin," she said in Italian, tipping her glass towards him before sipping her drink.
"I know you probably have loads of other questions you want to ask," she said, "so go on, what's next?"

"Hmmm. Well my 'Whats a girl like you doing in a place like this?' already been said sooo..." He rubbed at his chin, his five o'clock shadow already showing. "Tell me about where you were born, what were your parents like? What do you like most in a guy?"
He smirked on the last one and took a sip of his drink while his eyes remained on her.

Lizzy snorted, taking another sip of her drink. "And far too cheesy," she nodded. His other questions were all fair, apart from the last one, that was for his own gratification only. Shaking her head, she took the questions one by one. "Okay, so, I was born in Brooklyn. They've done a lot of reconstruction work around there lately, but we lived in a fairly old apartment block, circa 2200's. We had this loft all to ourselves, it was old, but had a homey feel. My parents... they're both completely different. My Mom is a cab driver, she gets serious road rage, barks at anyone that comes within a few feet of her cab, but she's also got a gentler side. She tends to work a lot, so I didn't see much of her while I was growing up."
She had to take another sip of her drink. "My Dad however, best Dad ever. He's a chef from Italy, and he makes the most beautiful, delicious food. He's got such a love for life, all of its aspects. He's mellowed a little in the last few years, what with them splitting up, but he's still cool." She rubbed her head as she came to the third question. "In a guy, I like..." she shrugged her shoulders, "a sense of humour, that's a big thing. Humility. He's got to be taller than me, I have this thing about height, 'cause I'm so gangly," she swung her long legs out from under her stool. "Annndd, that's it. Now, your turn, same three questions, except, obviously, switch man for woman. Go!"

Setting his drink down, Wally folded his fingers together and leaned onto his forearms while he listened to her. He nodded and listened, smiling when she talked about her cab driving road rage-filled mother. She seemed to have a pretty standard background, like him, but then again he didn’t know about the pieces of her past she left out.
He sat up then and thought, “Well, I was born in Australia, my mother a super model and my father a multimillionaire.” He smiled, continuing with his lie, “My mom introduced me to all her friends and from a very young age I’ve been very popular. My dad gives me all the money I want so… I’m just doing this as a side job. OH, and I own a horse ranch.” He took up his drink and finished his sentence as he threw the drink down his throat.
He sat it down and reached for the bottle as he added, “And my favorite thing about a woman are her boobs.”

With every word that came out of Wally's mouth, her eyebrows rose higher and higher, until they'd practically left her face. What. An. Ass. He thought he was being clever spouting out all that crap, but it didn't impress her whatsoever. Except, maybe the horse ranch, if he had been being truthful. But he wasn't. So.
"Screw you," she said, "I actually gave you a serious answer and that's what you came back with?" She downed the rest of her drink, the glass clattering against the surface as she put it back down. "One drink. And because you're not being serious, I'm outta here."
