L146 pulled on his grey jog pants and white t-shirt, like he did every morning, and set out for a jog around the complex. He hadn't eaten yet, but he wasn't hungry, he felt like he needed exercise, so he went with his instincts. They had to be right, and he could eat later, it wasn't like the dining hall ever stopped serving food.
He made his way out into the garden, slowing his jog down to a walk as he drew close to the fountain. L146 nearly always found his favourite person here, the person who always brought a smile to his face, his ray of sunshine. The sound of the waterfall was soothing, and he wandered his way slowly around it, occasionally balancing along the edge, careful not to fall in.
Then he saw her, her long blonde hair, her petite body sitting on her usual rock just away from the spray. He approached, giving her a small wave to catch her attention. She looked so peaceful sitting there. "Good morning," he greeted her, "how are you today?"

As she did almost every morning, N76 got up, showered, and dressed. She then made her way down to her favourite place, the garden. The exotic scents of the flowers, the sound of the wind in the trees or the animals moving around the roots of the bushes, the cool mist rising from the small, fountain-like pool--all of it was wonderful.
N76 exhaled quietly, little bumps rising on her arms as she trailed her fingers through the chilly water. The rock she was perched on was more comfortable than it looked, it's center dipping in to make a little nest, the perfect place for her to settle down. And it was there that she sat when he found her, greeting her with a wave.
"Good morning to you, as well," she said serenely, smiling back at him lucidly as she continued to trail her fingers through the water. "And I'm fine, L146. You?" He'd probably come out for one of his morning jogs, and decided to drop by to see her. The thought made her grin widen a little.
Getting to her feet, N76 tripped lightly over to him so they could talk more appropriately. "You look well."

L146 was pleased to see that N76 seemed just as glad to see him as he was to see her. They saw each other each day, and yet, L146 never got tired of seeing her face, her smile. He would hover around her for hours if only to make her smile. It was such a beautiful thing.
"I am well, thank you for saying so," he said, "and, if I may say, you look more than well," he smiled, "radiant." It wasn't uncommon for him to use words such as that around her, she always brought out the best in him.
"You like it out here," he observed, looking round at the waterfall, the moisture cascading down, crashing on the rocks below, "I can see why." He smiled down at her, then wondered something, deciding to voice it out loud. "Have you ever swam in the pool?"

There was no way for N76 to suppress her pleasure when L146 complimented her. He was fond of doing so, and while she wasn't a vain person, she enjoyed letting him. And so, in thanks, she gave him another flash of the smile he claimed to love, and was graced with one in return. His smile lit up her world.
When he pointed out her fondness of the garden, she smiled a little and nodded. "It's beautiful, and it's peaceful. To be honest, I'm not all together sure why its perfection pleases me so, but it does." His next question made her pause, and her brown eyes flicked to him , studying his green.
"No, I can't say that I have," N76 replied truthfully, her lips curving upward in a sly grin. "Why do you ask, pray tell?"

L146 smiled as N76 described why she liked the place, "it is perfect," he agreed, "rather like the woman standing before me." The compliments came effortlessly, and she did like to hear them, he knew that. Anyone would. It was strange though, sometimes it almost seemed as though the comments should be directed at someone else. But that didn't make any sense, so he generally just regarded the feelings as having eaten something that disagreed with him at lunch. That was a lot more likely.
L146 grinned back when she enquired as to why he was asking. He cast a glance over at the pool; it had been something he'd been mulling over for a while now, going for a swim in the rock pool with the fish. He didn't know why it held such an appeal, it seemed familiar almost, like it was something he used to do. "Because I've often been tempted," he said, glancing around to see that no one was around, "and it's not like anyone would see us..."

The reaction N76 had to L146's compliment was natural enough--a small, flattered giggle, a toss of the hair and such--and yet, the words felt almost... wrong, coming from him. Like, while hearing them from him weren't exactly awkward, she was supposed to be hearing them from someone else. But that was silly, and so she pushed the thought aside.
His remark in regards to swimming stirred something in her memory--something pleasant, some sort of connection--but when she tried to figure out where it had been, or who she'd been with at the time, the memory danced away from her. Not wanting to make L146 wait, she let it go.
"Well then, we'd best rid you of the temptation, then, mustn't we?" N76 said with an impish grin, mimicking his cursory glance for any unexpected visitors. "After you."

L146 chuckled when N76 chose to indulge him in his temptation, this was going to be interesting. As far as he could remember, no one at the complex had done anything like this before. Everyone tended to follow a sense of order, being quiet and unassuming, enjoying themselves and being blissful. But this was going to be something else. This was going to be... fun.
Knowing that his clothes would get wet if he left them on, he pulled his t-shirt off, then his shoes and his trousers before creeping over to the water's edge. Dripping in a toe, he let out a shudder. It was so cold! But he couldn't back out now. He didn't to seem cowardly. "Well, here goes nothing." Taking a couple of steps back, he ran and jumped towards the pool, his body forming a natural shape automatically, he dived under the surface with little to no splash.
Emerging, he shook the water from his eyes, his hair a wet mess. He laughed, unable to help himself. "Come on in," he said with a grin, looking back at N76.
