Even if he doesn’t feel sure about a situation he always sounds sure because that it the way one must be when they have the lives of so many in their hands.
General Appearance:
Family:

Job: Captain of the Venia
Personality:
Brave, honest, noble, reliable, valiant, true through and through. Mike is an all American man who is living the all American dream (somewhat). He enjoys his place as captain and feels comfortable there. He’s social enough and very polite. His mother raised him right and his father taught him to respect women. He’s always been a clean cut sort of guy and has had the admiration of many. Still he was somewhat Wiley in his youth and has his list of things he’s not proud of. Still, he’d like to think of himself as very mature and more than capable.
A few things people do not know about Mike is that he’s got terrible OCD. Not the kind where one has to turn the lights on and off a certain number of time, no the kind where he washes his hands all the time and cant tolerate the least bit of grime on him. He’s near and clean, even making sure to keep his hair trimmed just right. Its not that he’s vain at all, he just doesn’t like a mess. He thinks that being able to keep control of his body and the world around him will compensate for the mess left in his heart from his painful divorce and the loss of his daughter.

History:
Mike was born to a lower higher class family. His father was a Banker and his mother sold real estate. He was an only child and his parents brought him up to love football, be productive, and love life. Always being a tender hearted type he was the little boy that stood up for the kids that got picked on and brought in stray animals. When he was eight his father took him in two seater plane and he flew for the first time in his life. He was so transfixed by the pilot lifestyle and the ability to soar that he knew right then and there what he wanted to be.
He graduated with straight A’s and received a scholarship to BYU Aviary program. But no sooner did he begin school that he was shipped off to the Great War and trained as a fighter pilot. He saw many horrific things in battle but managed to keep himself alive. As time went on and technology soared in advancement Mike went on to bigger and better things, eventually going to school to be able to pilot large spacecrafts which he did for ten years. It was through this he met Halley.
Halley was beautiful, blond, and brilliant. She was a medical nurse aboard one of their vessels and Mike was enamored of her. She got pregnant a year into their relationship and they were married by their captain. Halley didn’t like life in space any longer and wanted to return to Earth.
They went back to Salt Lake and while Halley had their first child and became a homemaker Mike went to school and trained to become an officer. For months at a time he was away from his little family, being first a second in command and then first. When he was promoted to Captain Halley called him via satellite to inform him she was pregnant again. She carried their son for eight months before she lost the child through unforeseen circumstances. Mike was devastated but not as much as Halley.
The amount of time Mike was able to spend with his family grew smaller and smaller as he worked his way up the ladder, eventually becoming captain of the Venia. He could feel the strain on his marriage but his little Sandy always loved him. He thrived on the time he got to spend with her and the way she looked when he came home for a visit.
It was right before this last mission that Mike came home to find his wife at the table with a stack of papers infront of her. They were divorce papers and she asked him to sign them. Apparently while she was gone she’d become friendly with his daughters teacher and they’d fallen inlove and had an affair.
Even though it broke his heart, Mike loved Halley enough to give her whatn she wanted. But it was Sandy that make him bawl like a baby when he had to tell her he was leaving and wouldn’t be back for awhile. The last time he saw her she was nine, that about a little over a year ago. They keep in contact when they can, but mostly he knows he can’t be a part of her life. He can’t bring himself to blame anyone but himself for this.
Even though he lives with the pain of loosing his family, Mike is a pretty serious and friendly guy. He does his best for his crew and does whatever it takes to accomplish their assigned missions.
He keeps in his pocket always a little picture of his daughter from her fifth birthday party. She has black hair and large dark eyes like him. She’s clutching the teddybear he’d had shipped to her while he was in space. Her smile is wide and happy, just as his used to be when he was a kid.

Character; Prideful Hubris
Near Greed a black shoe with white spats stepped into her vision. A cane tapped the ground beside it while a man in a pinstriped green suite wearing a matching gangster like hat appeared. Although the rain poured down in sheets, it seemed to avoid him completely, trickling down an invisible barrier. One could make that happen when they controlled the element of water.
He was looking upward, a strange little white stick in his mouth. He puffed on it and when he took it from his mouth a long trail of smoke flittered from his lips and dispersed into the air.
Pride tended to smoke in the rain, it was just a little habit he had but he didn't smoke often. As he hung out near the village he made a point of no one seeing him. He didn't feel much like being social. But then he felt the presence of his sister and the distinct feeling as her pride dropped and he knew he had to come to her aid.
He didn't look down at her, merely puffing on the cigarette for a moment while he looked up at the sky, the sheets of rain falling down all around him.
"Lovely evening is it not?" He breathed. He didn't want to make Greed feel any worse she did by acknowledging the mess she was in.
He quite cared for his little sister, although he didnt have the kind of relationship with her as he did with Lust, still he wasn't about to just sit around and let her be distressed. His brothers on the other hand could go to hell for all he cared. But a lady needed to be cared for, and then perhaps bedded...

Likes:
- Control, not in a power high way, just knowing that everything is well balanced and at peace.
- Flying. Not just in space but he was an air fighter pilot first and foremost. There’s something about being able to control a vessel that makes one feel completely alive.
- Chocolate. Yes, it does make the hurt feel better. No, he’d never admit it’s his band-aid for emotional pain.
Dislikes:
- Liquor. And it’s not that he doesn’t like the taste or getting drunk. Sure being drunk feels great. It’s the hangover afterward and remembering what an Ass one was the night before that stinks. Also he cannot tolerate a drunk male. They’ve lost control of themselves and just seem pathetic to him.
- As said before. His ex-wives husband. The biggest looser on the face of the planet.
- Bullies. Never will he tolerate them. Especially under his watch.
Fears:
- Someone getting hurt or killed on his watch. It happens he knows, but he always feels gut wrenchingly awful afterward, especially if it was because of his own mistake.
- Germs and diseases. They’re gross. That would be the WORST way to die.

Random Facts:
- Mike was a fighter pilot and then a large craft pilot. If he had to he can pilot the Venia. But he’d prefer not to.
- When he has the chance, Mike is actually a fairly good cook. He taught himself how to cook in college and he’s improved slowly ever since.
- Secretly, he’s a bawl baby. Old Romance movies make him cry. That’s why he wont watch them.
- His OCD has been getting worse and somewhat more obvious. He might be heading for a midlife crisis.
