History:
Annabelle has never really lived up to her name. With having two older brothers, she’s always been a bit of a tomboy, not completely, but she’s always been a part of typically boyish activities, shying away from things like shopping and slumber parties, preferring football and immersive video games.
She showed potential from early on, coming top of her class in school for many academic subjects whilst being a part of a couple of sports teams, and also the choir. She was mostly friends with a group of guys and some girls who were interested in the same things as her. Her guy and girl friends alike used to tell her that she was pretty, but she didn’t believe them. Didn’t stop her from flirting though.
Originally, her family had thought she was going to go on to do engineering after school, having excelled in Physics and Maths, but instead she joined the armed forces, and learned about how to use both her own body and machines as weapons in combat. Whilst she did this, she completed an honorary degree in particle physics.
She was selected for the first team to go aboard the Venia and investigate the disturbances in space-time because of her expertise and also knowledge of physics and maths, which is good enough to rival the other science officers and engineers on board.

RP Sample:
To say she was confused would have been an understatement. Even where she came from, it wasn't every day that you walked through the door on a star ship and ended up on a street in New York in the early 21st Century. At first she thought she'd walked onto the holo-deck by mistake, and to be honest, she still wasn't convinced she hadn't, but as time had gone on, and she realised the simulation wasn't going to end any time soon, she began to try and work out what on Earth had happened, and how she was going to get back. If she could get back.
She managed to trade in her watch and communicator for a fair amount of money, and bought herself some clothes, then started gathering facts, trying to track down people who she might be able to talk to, but she was well and truly stuck. After kicking whatever was nearest in frustration, she'd headed for a bar and sat herself down to figure out what had happened, with the help of some alcohol.
The menu was laughable. Usually drinks like this had 'vintage' or 'original' in front of them where... when she came from. Budweiser would do the trick, so she ordered a bottle, and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen from her pocket, scribbling down mathematical equations and solutions on it, riddling things in her head. After three bottles, and running out of paper, she buried her head in her hands and let out a massive groan. "Bah humbug," she said to herself, her Scottish accent thicker than ever.
