Ally clenched her jaw and felt her blood boil under her skin. This was the last straw. And then, she snapped like a dried twig. She screamed, lurching from her chair to attack him. She had never been so mad in her life.
There was a blur of blood and raging fists, profanities and curses before a large fellow pulled her off of him. She was still a wild mess and he stumbled to pull her though the door. "That's enough Ms. Porter. I'm sure the captain will want a few words and you'll probable get to spend the rest of your day in the brig."

Luke hadn't expected to be joined in the brig. He would just take these two hours to chill out and cool his heels while mulling over what had just happened. He didn't get angry often, but Charlie had hit a sensative spot, and he'd let out a sort of controlled explosion, directed at Charlie's face. He'd done enough damage with one punch to mark the man's face for weeks. Again, very satisfying.
He watched through the perspex as a security detail dragged Ally into the brig, blood on her fists, and Luke immediately rose to his feet, alert and concerned, as they tossed Ally into the other cell. "What happened?" he said, his voice a little muffled behind the plastic. The security detail ignored him, resuming their guard, and Luke turned his focus instead to Ally, standing close to the clear perspex between their cells. "Are you okay?"

Ally was forcefully shoved into the cell and still went in fighting and yelling. "Porter, Shut up!" The beast of a man growled at her as he locked the door. "Jeeze woman, do you ever just shut up?" He left her and she fell into a huff onto the bench in the corner. The rage was boiling and she could hardly sit still because of her restless anger.
She turned to Luke's voice, jaw still tight. "I hit my brother," she replied. "Multiple times." She breathed deep from the pit of her stomach and dug her fingers into the smooth metal on the bench she was sitting on. "I'm Fine, Charlie is not. He might have cried, I screwed him up so bad. You broke his nose, I broke his face." She huffed, still overflowing in fury.

Luke had never seen Ally put up this much of a fuss before. She'd been seething before, but apparently she'd just let it all out, a little less controlled than he had. No doubt Charlie looked like a car had run over him by now, judging by the blood on Ally's hands.
He hesitated as he stood there, not sure what he could say exactly to calm her down. Joking might not be the best idea in this situation, so maybe just talking would do it. After all, Luke had no idea what had gone with them in the past, he'd just hit Charlie because he'd struck a nerve, and he deserved it. "What happened between you two?" he asked, looking at her, placing a hand against the plastic. "I mean, in the past, not five minutes ago when you bulldozed his face with your fists."

Ally sunk her face into her shaking hands, holding her hot face mere seconds away from tears. She didn't want to cry but she was just so...so...angry. Her voice was shaky as she tried to form her words, but she jut stuttered as her words fell apart. All she wanted was to be held and cry out all her pain, rather than sit here, alone and bawl like a two year old.
"I...it..its'. We...we never got along. He...he was the bloody golden child. I...wasn't. I was smarter, he had a learning disability. They catered, I got put on the back burner. He..put me through hell because of it." she sniffled, curling her legs up onto the metal bench, hugging her knees. "I was never..ever horrible to him, punched him once or twice, but I always got in trouble. He...he..hated me, loathed me for no reason." She choked her words again, trying not to cry, but it was coming faster than she could stop it. "he..he'll never know how much it hurts to be rejected, abandoned. The pain to feel like you don't belong in your own home, Luke. I..I don't even know if I have a home to go back to." And then she gave in, and her tears fell like rivers down her hot cheeks.

Luke listened to every word she said. He knew it was hard for her to open up, after all, she'd kept a lot of her past distant from him, probably afraid that he'd get sucked into it too. She didn't seem to realise that he was strong, he was her rock, the one that wanted to be there for her through all of the tough crap, everything, because he loved her. Seeing her break down like this tore at his heart, and he moved over to the door, banging on the perspex. "Oi," he said, catching the attention of the guard, "let me in there with her." The guard looked from Luke, to Ally, back to Luke again. "The Captain..." "The Captain, despite his orders, wouldn't leave a crew member like that. Let me in. I'm not going to try anything, I swear."
The guard hesitated, but walked over and opened Luke's cell, being extra cautious as he opened Ally's and let Luke in, locking it behind him. As soon as he was inside, Luke strode over and sat himself beside her, tugging her gently into his arms. "I'm so sorry," he said, rubbing her arm soothingly, pulling strands of her hair softly out of her face, "I couldn't tell you how it felt either, but I know it must be hard. He's a bastard for doing that to you for all those years. You didn't deserve a moment of pain, really."

Ally looked up as the guard unlocked the door and Luke walked in to sit next to her. As soon as he was next to her, she threw her arms around him and fell into him, almost pathetically. Her tears were heavy upon his shirt and she sobbed, almost as hard as her future self with the miscarriage. But this was now, and now hurt, because the past had become too much of a painful reality.
She threw her arms further arouns his neck and let them pour. She couldn't even form words right now, her heart was breaking. That bastard. He would never know how much he had hurt her. 'I..I..don't even...I just..can't do this." she sniffled , moving her silver eyes up to his gaze. She tried to wipe her tears with her forearm, but it was no good. They continued to pour like a broken dam. She took a deep breath, then let another heavy wave pass through.'I...I'm so...so sorry you got..got drug into this."

Luke held Ally tightly as she sobbed uncontrollably into his shirt, releasing all of the pent up emotion. Placing a hand on the back of her head, he stroked it tenderly with his thumb, swallowing hard to push any emotions that he was feeling back down where they belonged. If Ally kept taking hits like this, he didn't know how she would go on.
"You don't have to do anything," he said, "not now." He would sit here with her for as long as she needed. "Don't worry about me," he said, wiping away her tears, his hand cupping her face, "I'd rather be in this with you, then leaving you out there alone, worrying about you helplessly." That was the truth.

Ally looked up as he cupped her cheek, forcing her eyes to meet with his. She sniffled and swallowed, sucking her bottom lip a little. He was too good to her, and sometimes she felt as if he was too good for her. He was just so..so perfect. She snuggled in, wringing his shirt in his hands as she clung onto him, as if for dear life.
"Thank you.." was all she could muster up, before crying quietly again. The tears weren't as heavy, just that they needed to be released. He was more than enough for her, and sometimes she felt as if she took advantage of his love. Maybe she was just over thinking, but she couldn't let the thoughts escape just yet. Would he always be there for her? Always be there to rescue and comfort when things got too bad? She sure as hell hoped so. Without him, functionality wasn't even promised. He meant more than life itself to her, and finally gave her true reason to live. She had only hoped he knew how important he was to her.
