Well Isn't This A Surprise? (Wally)

Wally turned and saw the way she looked at him and he knew he'd managed to sweep her off her feet in a manner of speaking. Inwardly it gave him an ego boost. Ever since the mishap with the physical therapist he hadn't really tried to impress a girl since. But clearly he'd succeeded with Lizzy.

He tilted his mouth up to hers, returning the soft kiss and then she pulled back, laving his lips warm and tingly. 'Thank you.' She whispered and he gave her another one of his goofy grins.

"No problem babe. Anything for a girl with a hot ass." He winked then and laughed.

Lizzy hadn't meant to laugh at his crude comment, but she did anyway, slapping him lightly in the arm. "I knew it wouldn't last for long." At least now she knew there was someone amazing underneath that bravado, and she would remember that, despite what he said out loud. Or, at least, she would try to.

"Now you've succeeded in winning me over," she said, her arm around his shoulder, "what do you plan on doing next?"

Having her laugh and smack his arm made him laugh all the more. "What wouldn't last for long?" He chuckled, knowing full well what she meant. "Starlight, if you're thinking I could ever not be a smartass then you've got another thing coming. I'm australia man. You can count on two things from me, crude comments, and great sex."

He put the breaks on lock on his chair and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Oh? I've won you over have I?" He asked all innocently. "Hmmm... well I guess that means I get to do what I please with you dosn't it?" He chuckled, raising a hand to gently touch her chin, turning her face a little to look at her profile. She was so beautiful in that light, it was somewhat breathtaking.

He kissed her jaw quickly, releasing her face to move his lips to hers for another kiss, pressing a little bit more passion into this one than the last.

Wally knew very well what she meant, and he proved it in his next sentence. "Starlight," she said, smirking at him, "is that my new nickname?" Apparently when he'd said she looked like it, he'd decided to call her that as well. Honestly, it wasn't a bad nickname at all, it was going to confuse the hell out of people though.

"Oh, did I say that out loud?" she looked at him wide eyed, feigning innocence, like she hadn't meant to say it. Her lips curled into a smile, "within reason." The touch of his fingers was strong but gentle, and she complied, staring off into the distance for a moment. She had to take a breath to remind herself that this was real, and that all of this was actually happening.

He kissed her again; after a moment of no movement, she inhaled, placing a hand on his cheek as she kissed him back, his slight stubble rough beneath her fingers. Pulling back a couple of milimetres, she brushed her nose against his, looking at him for a moment before coming back for another kiss.

Wally merely chuckled at that. To him, almost anythign was within reason. He'd been a bit of a manslut in his better days, but after the addicent he'd calmed down quite a bit. He wrapped his arms fully around her and as she pulled back he opened his own blue eyes to look into her dark ones.

He resisted the urge to say something silly and merely kissed her again, her lips seeming to have the same desire as his and he let it draw out and linger, his heart pulsing in his chest, hard enough he was sure she could feel it...

Lizzy couldn't tell whether she could feel her heart pounding, or his, or maybe even both. At least she wasn't the only one out of the two of them who's heart was racing about this. After stealing a couple more quick kisses, she rested back slightly, running her hand down his cheek, patting it gently. "Not that you need to hear this, or don't already know," she said, "but you're a good kisser."

Wally reached up and tucked her hair behind her ears. "Nawww." He laughed, "I'm lucky if I manage to even locate the girls lips." he kissed at her cheek and jaw then, "See what I mean?" He mummbled against her skin.

"I usually need a little help." He placed his hands on her hips, pulling back a little.

"Oh yeah?" she chuckled, his lips grazing her soft skin, "it's like you're groping in the dark." Smiling across at him, she pressed a finger to her lips, "they're here, for the record, should you need to find them. If I keep pointing at them, think you can manage? Or do you need a more direct approach?"

Wally laughed and kissed her hand, his lips trailing up her finger to the tip and then finally to her lips. His hand ran up into her hair as he held her securely, his kisses turning more passionate and intense. He was really liking this girl.

He pulled back suddenly, "Hey can I ask you something?" He was slightly out of breath as he did so, "How come you wouldn't give me the time of day at the bar back on Earth?"

Lizzy returned the intensity as he kissed her harder, her hand running across his ear to the back of his neck, her fingers massaging through his hair. Her arm was tingling from where he'd kissed it, the hairs there felt like they'd been doing the mexican wave ever since they'd arrived here in this room.

She was a bit surprised at him pulling away, and was about to say yes when his question came. Breathing a little haphazardly, she looked at him right in the eyes. "I don't know," she said, "I guess I didn't want to, I wasn't looking for something at the time," if she remembered rightly, that had been one of her bad periods where her depression had come back to haunt her, "but I'm glad I bumped into you today," she said, "to get a second chance, to have this." She stroked the back of his neck with her hand, "despite how I came across earlier, I'm not completely taciturn or ignorant."

Wally shook his head slightly. "You never seemed that way. I just thought maybe i'd made an ass of myself again. I can do that sometimes when i've drunk too much." He chuckled and pulled her a little closer. "Alright Starlight, time to take you back to where you came from." He took the breaks off the chair and headed back towards the door.

"Anywhere in particular you'd like to be dropped off at?"

"In that case..." Lizzy began, teasing him. It was a bit of her, a bit of him. She hadn't given him a chance, hadn't taken the time to get to past his outer layer and find the inner one. And she imagined she was still only scratching the surface.

"Well," she said, "I really should be working. So, engineering if you please, driver."

"You've got it m'lady." He hit the switch on the shutters on his way out and carefully maneuvered them through the doorway. He didn't go as quickly as he had before, wanting to linger in these last couple of minutes.

He was a little out of breath, even though he was used to wheeling himself around, going so far with another person on his lap could get a little tiring. But he wasn't about to complain. He continued on, careful not to urn anyone else over before stopping in the engineering area of the ship.

"Alright Starlight." He said, "I believe this is your stop." He grinned up at her, not noticing that he'd stopped near a bunch of other Engineers.

Lizzy could hear him breathing heavier, and would probably make up some excuse to make him go slower next time, if there was a next time, and if he listened. "Thank you for the lift," she said, "among other things," she added with a smile. She shifted to move out of his lap, then stopped, leaning back over to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. "See you around."

Slipping out of his lap and onto her feet, she looked around and saw the bunch of engineers, all who were muttering amongst themselves about what they had just seen. A voice from the back of the group shooed them away and Will came into view. Lizzy opened her mouth and closed it again. Will merely nodded at her and Wally, managing a small smile before wandering off.

Wally didn't mind PDA and merely grinned proudly when she kissed him on the cheek. As far as he was concerned the most beautiful woman on the ship had given him that kiss and everyone should be envious. He took her hand in his as she thanked him and gave it a quick kiss.

"Anytime babe. Anytime." With that he turned his chair and headed down the corridor, not noticing Will or his acknowledgment.
